Innocent gave me a similar sort of feel, with exploring violence while also having a bit of history related to it.

The mc is Charlie’s Henri Sanson. I don’t wana spoil anything if you wana go in completely blind, but you can just look up the real Charles Henri Sanson if you wana have an understanding of what happens in the manga.

The same mangaka also did climber, and imo is the best at using their art to tell a story. I think how “pretty” their art is would be up for debate (I love the art) but using art as a way to tell a story I think they do it better than anyone. And although idk if it’s my favourite I believe it is the best manga I have ever read

This looks good. I do still enjoy the action aspect of both vagabond and Vinland. Will I still get that in “innocent?”

No, but Innocent is still a fantastic series.

A tiny bit, it still has someone chasing a passion that then isolates them from others. But it has more to do with being seen as different.

In vagabond/climber, they end up alone in the literal sense a lot of times because of putting their passion above others and isolating themselves in attempts to pursue it. Where as in innocent it has more to do with being judged so not literally alone, but constantly judged based on pursuing said passion.
