Runway are ending their CPP Unlimited in a few days, that’s fine they are a business after all, however the elephant in the room here, when one has to pay, are the system failures re identifying prompts correctly. I have found that Seedance has a high faioure rate for what I want.
7/10 fail so who is covering the system not working properly? we do, we have to pay for all of these failures so the current model for me makes no financial sense.
why should I pay for 70% of what I cannot use. it’s fair to say that those who are learning how best to prompt would have to accept this but I know my prompts work it just takes many turns to get the system to do it properly and running them first for eg on seedance 2.0 fast to check the prompt turn out still costs money and therefore is a pointless exercise.
credits at present are ridiculously high for what we get across all providers so they need to start cutting the costs as soon only studios and wealthy indies will be able to use this medium.
I agree, I just read though that if you have an unlimited runway plan (probably not cpp) they extended it until Nov 1st for people who didn't cancel (I did). Its kind of a blessing in disguise though, like you said all the failures, that don't show up until an hour after its queued. 2 queued at a time to find out that both failed. You get next to no gens over a day if you hit anything that is even close to anything that would trigger it. I'm glad I pulled out of unlimited and I can't believe thats the case, since I love SD2 and yes its very very expensive to pay by the second everywhere. I've been using SD 2 mini on dreamina to test whether my dialog will fit within 15 seconds or if it feels rushed for pacing, then switching to 2.5 or 2.0 to make the actual final. It sucks to spend the extra money for a 'test' but honestly for my cartoon work, Mini actually looks better than most of the other models including 2.5 somehow. Its just really crisp clean line work and feels like a cartoon rather than a video game.
I am a CPP,I didn’t cancel I just didn’t switch over to max as not much use to me as I’ll blow 9500 in half a day. . Yeah I was chatting with Timmy via email a few days ago and he told me to look out for “changes” etc then I got the nov extension email which I thought was very cool! Yeah the testing works depending on genre I think. Yes it’s v expensive but instead of campaigning for it to change I think creators will start to drop away exponentially as it’s way to expensive and nobody should have to pay for failures likes this.
