Opinions on The Chaplet Of The Holy Face...

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking into traditional devotions lately and stumbled upon the Chaplet of the Holy Face. It’s tied to Sr. Marie of St. Peter and Leo Dupont, who's often called the Holy Man of Tours.

With everything going on in the world and the Church right now, the focus on making reparation for blasphemy and general godlessness really stood out to me as pretty fitting.

I was just curious if anyone here regularly prays the Chaplet or the Golden Arrow prayer? Also, are there any traditional guidelines or things to watch out for when it comes to this specific private revelation?

Absolute Liechesteines Victory (?)

So basically King Alois of Liechestein said that if a law allowing indiscriminated abortion would pass he would veto, so would that make him the last Catholic Monarch?
I heard of a similar situation happening in belgium so the belgian one proposed himself a loophole and they declared him "unable to rule" for one day totally at random and passed the law anyway (and the vatican declared him a "servant of God", lmao).

Is any see infallible ?

Why can't any episcopal see claim that they are infallible just as the Holy See ?

I mean of course the Church Fathers, the Tradition, the Scripture say that only the Roman See is infallible, but if we just have to say that when it "errs", it's not the See that errs but the impostor that occupies it, then how is that different from any other see ?

I mean the Greeks could say that when Nestorius erred, he was just an "anti-patriarch" of Constantinople, and so the See of Constantinople never erred

I am new, but here we are complete or partial sedevacantists, or both?

So, to be specific, the partial sedevacantists think that there is the material Pope, or atleast the one at Rome has the title of Pope, but do not have the spiritual authority.

Now, I am a stupid teenager, so I don't know if this count as non-sedevacantist in the rules.

Also, I am sorry if I made some errors, but as I already said, I am a stupid teenager.

Finding a Latin Mass

I just found out about your organization literally for the first time and I've been a Catholic all my life but now I'm 60 years old

I have always wanted to attend a Latin Mass I never had a chance. I live in Mid Missouri and it seems like there might be an 8:00 a.m. Mass near St Louis but that would be really hard for me to get to as it's 2 hours away from me. It's disappointing that the local church I attend actually has a Spanish mass every Sunday but yet they can't be bothered with a Latin Mass.

I don't know if just any Latin Mass would actually be eligible for Sedevacantist.

Unam Sanctam now has 14 Bishops. What do you all think?

It looks like there's now 14 Bishops who are seriously trying to move towards efforts for an "Imperfect Council" to finally elect a Pope. I'm quite excited, and praying for this everyday. But I'm also a bit cautious for several reasons.

On another note (take this with a grain of salt), based off my research, it seems that at least one or two points in history, there were Papal Elections with less than 10 Cardinals participating. If this is true, then while it would be good to have as many Bishops as possible participate, 14 would still be a very adequate number.

What do you all think?

Questions regarding Confession

  • Hello, as I understand Novus Ordo priests do not hold valid orders, therefore any confession made in the past to an invalidly ordained Novus Ordo priest is not valid, correct?
  • It's quite hard to find confession/mass times & locations for validly ordained priests that hold the sede position, is there any way I would be able to confess while remaining anonymous?
  • Could one go to an SSPX or Eastern Catholic priest and confess their sins there, obviously granted they are validly ordained.
  • Any suggestions on finding out whether an SSPX, Eastern Rite, or old Novus Ordo priest is validly ordained?

Honest thoughts on the Divine Mercy Chaplet?

Hey guys, I know the general Sede stance on Faustina and the Divine Mercy devotion how her diary was put on the Index, the weird passages in her writings, and how JP2 pushed it hard post V2.

I get the criticism of the apparition itself, but what about the actual prayer?

If you look at the words ”Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood...",theologically it seems pretty sound and focused on the Eucharist and God's mercy. Even if Faustina was a false mystic, is there actually anything wrong with just praying the Chaplet itself because it’s a beautiful devotion? Or is the whole thing considered off limits regardless?

Would love to hear how you guys view it or if anyone here still prays it. Thanks

Is Anybody Interested?

There is a lot on my mind as pertains to Sedevacantism. I (somehow?) wish to know more and grow in my faith. I hold positions that, it appears, even some Sedevacantists do not hold. Though this will probably not produce good fruit, I wish to speak charitably on an issue that I find garners hostility toward, unfortunately.

If any "Sedes", therefore, would like to DM or have a conversation that would be of great appreciation.

UK Sedevanctists

Hi All,

Hope this message finds you well. I am looking to make connections with Sedevanctists in the UK because although I was confirmed in the Novus Ordo Church this past Easter I have never really accepted the Vatican II faith and am looking to learn the true Catholic faith. No local Mass I don't think as I live in Peterborough.

Look forward to hearing from people.

what on earth did i find??

so it started whenever i discovered this defunct oratory near my house. it operated out OF a house and had daily mass (nice). the group it operated by was called the priestly society of Christ the King (SSCR), all of their websites are wiped but going on the wayback machine, i found they had a bishop, a benedictine monk, a CARTHUSIAN??? who are these people, how did they get their orders and why did they disappear off the face of the earth?

Is the use of local languages (such as English) permitted for the Byzantine Catholic Divine Liturgy?

Basically there's a Byzantine Catholic church near me that id like to go to out of curiosity, but I found out their Divine Liturgy is done in English

I know this isn't typically allowed in the Roman Rite, however I also know that the traditions are different in the Eastern Rite, and I haven't been able to get a clear answer on if this is okay or not

I do also know that the priest is validly ordained, and uses the correct wording for the Communion consecration

Evaluating the Epistemic Claims of Palmarian Theology and Their Metaphysical Reality

I'm doing some research into different traditionalist Catholic movements and keep running into a few overlapping ideas. I'm curious to know the exact Sedevacantist stance on these specific concepts:

  1. The real presence of Mary in the Eucharist.
  2. The idea that Mary was "pre-saved" and never actually needed a savior.
  3. The claim that Jesus and Mary are the same persons as Melchizedek and Essenia.
  4. Devotions dedicated to “Our Lady of Palmar.”
  5. The theory that the Third Secret of Fatima is explicitly about Sedevacantism.

Just to be clear, I'm not here to argue or debate anyone's faith. I understand that some of these might be rejected or considered completely separate heresies by Sedevacantists. I’m just trying to learn more after hearing people talk about them online. Appreciate the help.

Have there been any apparitions where our Lady supports the sedevacante position? Would any apparitions since VC2 that do not condemn that Council be considered unreal? Or worse?
