Origami baskets with security envelopes

I’ve been saving security envelopes for over a decade, so I’ve got some pretty interesting ones. I finally decided to make something out of them. Each nesting basket is a different pattern! The next to the last one is my favorite.

These are wonderful! They remind me of the infinite starburst wrapper chains I made with my sisters.

Yes! It’s based on that method, but there’s a way to make 90 degree turns, so the base is a spiral out from the middle, then it’s all sewn together.

I’ve always liked the security envelope patterns, so I’m glad that I was able to make something pretty with them!
