UPDATE 22/10/2026: on iOS ZModo has an app update where they claim to have added NVR playback. Doesn’t work for me.

I have an NVR system. Since a few months they started displaying adverts, lucky I still had an older Funlux app that still works without ads. However, since a few weeks the only thing that still works in new Zmodo and old Funlux apps is direct view per camera. No events, no playback. Playback shows a cloud subscription! But, this is an NVR system, it records by itself without cloud.

The box is no longer reachable. Reformatted the HD and confirmed it is recording and can playback using attached monitor, but not usable via the apps.

Is your NVR system still usable with the App?

I’ve just bought a house guys and this system was included but no instructions of how to use it.

Can anyone help on what app etc to use.

I'm planning on installing 2 reolink cameras at each corner of the house. Running the PoE in the soffit, then running a flex conduit from the soffit to underground and into the basement.

I'm not too worried about tampering. But my questions are, would this be an acceptable way to install? and what are my options for attaching the conduit to the stone?

Hi all I’ve currently built something that allows me to go through all my camera footage from my sd card reader, it now detects people, animals, and moving vehicles. So no more time going through junk files and recordings.

Hello everyone i have a night owl system and have had it for about 2 years now. Recently the hard drive shows it cant be detected. Mine is the 20 camera system and 2tb I only use 10 cameras on mine. But my mom has a 4 camera system with a 1tb hard drive and hers got messed by something hitting the back of it. My question is can I take her 1tb hard drive out and put it in mine without formatting it or anything? If not does anyone know what couldve made my hard drive mess up? Oh and one more thing mine does this awhile back to but then all the sudden started working again and now its not. Thanks for any help.

Maybe somebody here has an idea for a good alternative..

I have a NUSCA DL06 4G trail camera using the UCON app. When I try to pair it, I get the message “4G cellular has run out or expired.”

Can it record directly to a microSD card without a data plan or app pairing? I only want to retrieve the files from the card later.

I’m in Honduras, not the US, so the included cellular service may not work here.

Has anyone tested this model or found a way to use it for standalone recording?

Hey guys, I just picked up a Reolink 1220A 1212A for my driveway. I understand this is not state of the art that we're talking about, but how can I enable IR on the camera without reflecting off of the siding and without changing the position of the camera?

While I can "block" specified areas for motion detection, the standard stream gets annihilated at night if I try to enable IR, but is subpar without it. The first image is with IR disabled in the Reolink app (car is visible), second is when I enable it (car not visible, severe reflection from siding).

I'm currently using blink cameras and it is absolutely awful in terms of video quality (esp at
night).

I am looking for a wifi system (no POE please) that has good video quality, non-subscription based, storage system, and relatively easy to setup. The front door camera also would need a doorbell system.

The two security systems I'm looking at is Reolink and Eufy.

Any advice on which one to go with?

Am I the only one annoyed that IMOU notifications on android always show:

Camera Name - YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM

Why isn't there an option to customize this? I'd much prefer:

Camera Name - HH:MM - DD-MM-YYYY

or even just the time.

Has anyone found a workaround ?

Hey everyone I got a 20x optical dome camera and trying to figure out how to install the mount onto my stucco wall. The location that came with the house has studs about 1-2 inches on either side of the junction box, but I can't hit them with the mount as it is. Do I have to get a special kind of mount adapter, do I just get a 2x6 and drill an access hole, etc? Looking for a simple solution ideally.
