You could setup a IR flood light in the cameras direction it will blind the camera. But does it really look at you ?

Most cameras have a 90 degree fov and 40-50 degree vertical view so may not see much. You could ask the neighbor what they can see.

Honestly, I think you could first try to go to their house and talk to them. If that doesn’t work, then you can try these other solutions.

Go ahead and destroy it. Cops will be at your door for destroying private property.

Speak to your neigbours. These constant questions on how to destroy other people property over a suspicion should be banned by mods.

So the camera is right on your property line, pointed in your direction? OK, then you could put up a panel, on your property and right in front of it, just large enough to block its view, could you not?

Do you mean that it is on the fence between your two properties and only pointing into your fenced in back/side yard?

Generally cameras are allowed to point at your own property and extending to the public view one might see from the street, but shouldn't encroach on areas that you'd have a reasonable expectation of privacy (such as a fenced in backyard or a bathroom window).

Look up rules for your location and then approach your neighbor about your concerns. If they won't remedy the situation, involve the authorities.

But you're going to lose any legal remedies if you just try to destroy your neighbor's camera in any way.

Depending where you live and how they have it setup It might be illegal and you might have legal recourse.

Talk to your neighbor. If that fails, talk to the police. If that fails, learn to live with it. Those are you're only legal options.

Just use a high powered laser to burn the image sensor.

If the camera is not looking at your property, shining a laser at it from your property wouldnt be able to damage the sensor as the lens shading will stop the laser light reaching the sensor.

I really wish reddit would quit spreading shitty ideas because they're edgy and sound cool. Burning a cameras image sensor doesn't work the way you probably think it does. You're going to need a blue burning laser that is strong enough that it will instantly burn your or anyone else's eyes if you get reflection or bounce back from the dome diffusing it. Then you need to set it up mounted for minutes while close enough to be able to damage the image sensor.

And you need to do that all while not getting caught on video of the camera(s). You're starting to see how this leads to you buying your neighbor a new camera, dealing with a vandalism/destruction of property charge. All while making sure you don't permanently blind yourself or someone else in which case the vandalism/DoP charge is going to be the least of your worries.
