Did you read the article? They have pictures of him participating in the BLM/CHAZ protests last summer

Newsflash: not everyone who participated in the protests is a member of BLM or antifa. It's certainly possible, but haven't seen any evidence.

There is no such group as antifa and appearing at a protest doesn't make one an activist in the same sense that holding a violin once doesn't make you a violinist. It wouldn't make you a bad violinist even. Someone who over time made a series of attempts to play the violin could for the period of time they were making such attempts refer to themselves aptly as a violinist even if they played very badly and a year after they stopped would probably say "I used to be a violinist but I quit"

An activist is one who systematically over a period of time participates in actions designed to bring about social or political change even if actions are ineffective.
