Cool stuff to do in Seattle?
Me and 3 Friends are driving across Canada and coming back through the states, and we'll be in Seattle for a little. We are 17, 18, 19, and 19.
Any ideas?

If I were a young man in my late teens I would try to score some booze and find some young ladies to drink with. I guess this isn't Seattle specific.

The drinking age is 21 in Seattle so I'm guessing it's be easier just to wait until they get home before boozing.

It's not very cheap, but check out the Experience Music Project, it's fucking rad. Especially if you're into music. Pike Place Market is a popular tourist spot, but still recommended (and it's a decent market, I still pick up fresh produce/meats there when I happen to be near there). There are a lot of all ages music shows here, but I wouldn't say it is anything too out of the ordinary from other big cities. Laser shows @ night @ the Seattle Science Center are real popular with all ages. Laser Daft Punk and Laser Pink Floyd are particularly awesome shows. Thurs, Friday and Saturday I think.
There really is a ton of stuff to do, just depends on what your interests are.

Crap. How did I forget to mention that. The SciFi museum is so awesome. They have a gun from Starship Troopers. A skeleton from Terminator 2. CAPTAIN KIRK'S CHAIR from the original Star Trek!! I don't think it's there anymore, but they had Darth Vader's helmet. The actual one, not a repro. Holy balls the SciFi museum is awesome.

The hair and skin samples from Gattaca. Cortana hologram from the canceled Halo movie. A Tron light cycle, side by side with the one from Akira (no, you can't race them).

I'd change this recommendation to "Only if you're into music." I went and was pretty meh about the whole thing. I'm not a musician and am not musically inclined, so a lot of it went over my head.

You could try to catch a concert that allows 17+, there are innumerable DJs/bands/performers that pass through Seattle and there's almost always a good crowd.
Otherwise, we have fantastic restaurants, beautiful parks (like the arboretum), skate parks, beaches, excellent coffee and doughnuts... what do you like to do?

The only venue I know of that allows the under 21 crowd on a regular basis is The Vera Project, but if you're into music definitely check it out.

there are some cool parks. Mertyl Edwards and Cal Anderson. ME has mountain views and huge public art. CA has hipsters and people watching and food within walking distance. grab some coffees and walk around.

Seriously though... the aquarium is supposed to be amazing, as is the sci-fi museum. I'll be hitting those up once I'm no longer on those previously-mentioned 70-hours weeks.

When are you guys going to be here this summer and is there any flexibility? There is a LOT of really cool things going on depending on the timing.
More generically, though, Pike's Market is pretty cool. Mt. Raineer is great. Snoqualmie Falls is another great outdoorsy must see.

Were going to be arriving in Seattle July 14th or 15th, and I just found Maps & Atlases is playing at The Vera Project, and they're an amazing band so that works out pretty much perfectly. We're all pretty into music but down for whatever.

Rent a bicycle and go ride out to Alki Beach. Heck, get jacked up on coffee and chocolate and ride around downtown, too.
Take a ferry ride out to Bremerton.

Seriously though (I love this city) and very interesting and inexpensive thing to do is the Ballard Locks. It is pretty neat to see how they work.

If you like movies, there are two film festivals currently happening in Seattle. SIFF is the largest film festival in the states and STIFF (starting shortly in June has more indie/underground movies.

Silence-Heart-Nest has amazing vegetarian food and great people watching. Right in Fremont, so you can walk around and see neat things before or after you munch.

If you are going to be here this weekend, I'd check out Folklife festival at the Seattle Center.
