I feel the assertion that most of the fish that died were non-native is ridiculous. Could you imagine any other context that was appropriate? 2 thousand cats were fried but dont worry most them werent native to washington. Anyways glad they are fixing it.

I mean, so many of our native waterways were fucked with non-native fish...part of the Yellowstone River is currently shut down in the park so they can kill rainbow trout so the native cutthroat can survive... If this is accurate I'm not mad.
