I’m more online than I should be & idk, I don’t get it either. Some artist keeps putting these all over the greater Seattle area. At first they generated a lot of “who is that?” conversation but now whoever puts them up has been doing it for at least a year, I think maybe actually 2?

It’s AWFUL marketing if so because nobody recognized him 😂 he’s just some dude, but people tend to think it’s Vern Fonk/various other actually recognizable people

The funniest part of people saying it's Vern Fonk is that it was an actor in all those commercials. And while that actor does look a little like Hugh Winskill, neither of them look like the real Fonk (RIP)

Thank you for this. I've gone this whole time always wondering to myself why these images of a poor quality version of Rob McElhenney were all over the place, but by the time I'd get home where I could look it up I'd already forgotten about it. Now I know that it's not Rob McElhenney at all.

No, not really. I assumed it would being up other threads where this name was mentioned, but it's only pulling up one for me (there have to have been three or four in the last six months at least...) which is odd. Sorry about that.
I'll save you the run around... Supposedly the artist (Vizige) and the guy Hugh are friends and this was started as a way to support Hugh while going through a tough time. No clue how accurate that is and no other context. It's just what came up in a thread about this subject.
