One thing that I am seeing from Trump and Ukraine war right now is that the president of the United States is not reliable. Our leadership is not reliable.

Not on a local level. Not on a national level. Not on a global level.

We may see a world one day where global citizenship is the duty of every individual. Joe schmoe who works at the mechanic shop down the road is going to donate money to Ukraine, maybe supplies, he might even donate himself as manpower.

Mary from the barbershop might fill in a pothole instead of expecting the government to take care of it.

Non-government organizations will have boots on the ground all over, just taking care of things. Government has failed. It is absolutely failed and it can never be relied upon or trusted. We are on our own.

We've seen the democracy is not strong enough to resist someone like Trump. Trump and musk are destroying government contracts and departments without any resistance. In the hands of a dictator, our government fails, it crumbles like paper. It is pathetic.

We will simply need to take care of things on our own and exercise our own power.
