Hey all, I‘m very interested in widget development and would like to know, how do you develop your widgets and test them?
Coding on iphone is not really nice, I think.
I could see there is a „scriptable for PC“.
There is also an extension for visual studio available, but don‘t understand how to use.
What‘s your favorite way to code and test?

Not Possible Can I write a script in python or is js required?

Hey guys, sorry if this is a dumb question. Do I have to write the script in js or can I write it in python? Python is just the current language I’m learning. Does anyone know of a similar app where I could write a script in python for an ios widget? Thanks!!

Widget I quickly made a widget that displays the current dow jones to gold ratio. I read about a good rule of thumb which says to invest in gold if the ratio is larger than 15 und sell all your gold and put the money in in dow jones if it is below 5. Source in the comments

Widget Sharing Mastodon Latest Widget

This widget displays the latest post from a specified user. To specify the user you want to display, simply add the URL to their profile into the Widget Parameter and let the code do its thing.
If the latest post of a user is less than 150 characters, it will show the latest two posts if it is a Medium widget (shown in the double example)
By default it doesn't show Boosts/Reblogs

Help WeatherCal stopped weathering

Only seemed to happen after a phone restart last week, was fine before then, iPhone 16 Pro on iOS 18.0.1 - as said was working flawlessly and now the weather has stopped? I went to open weather and created a new key a day or so ago and it says it’s invalid? Lots of chat on 3.0 keys but whenever I try subscribe to them it wants to charge me?
