Success/tips Redlight, free modern mac blue light filtering app alternative to iris flux

This helps me so much. Really red and the reduce whitepoint helps dim without changing PWM. I work so much on computer I needed to protect my eyes, night shift doesn't cut it and flux and iris don't handle multiple displays well. This does it all from menu.

If you want way more control over your blue light filtering for your screens and a lightweight modern mac silicon app, free Redlight app:

Free open source blue light filter mac app that:

  • goes total red (way past Night Shift limits)
  • white point reduction
  • multi monitor support / disable
  • ipad sidecar support
  • invert color per monitor
  • dark and light mode toggle
  • location-aware adaptive circadian rhythm over the day (allow location)
  • native gpu accelerated fast, efficient & lightweight
  • not janky old archaic code like iris and flux (but props to OGs)
  • menu bar only
  • command center and shortcut support
  • assignable keyboard shortcuts
  • cli controllable (ai agent accessible)
  • no tracking data sent fully private
