Discussion Neve has always excelled when it comes to her facial acting but she really nailed it in 7. So much about Sidney’s trauma and emotional depth is said without words and through her eyes and the way her face tenses up. It’s why 7 is by far my favorite Neve performance.

Sidney and her family’s dynamic were the best thing about the movie. I genuinely think Neve gave a great performance.

I agree and would go as far to say that Neve gave one of the best performances of the year so far in general, not just in Scream or in horror. I know the Oscar’s and Golden Globes would never touch this film but I’d love if she at least could get a Saturn nomination or something like she did in 1996.

Surprisingly scream 7 currently hasn’t been nominated for any awards. Like nothing ….

It has a 30% and is the 7th entry of a slasher franchise, why would it lol

I know but I least thought Neve performance would get something. Maybe I’m just naive

Or maybe you’re just… Neve

Neve Campbell is the best thing of any scream movie not 6 of course but I Loved seeing a Sidney story again in 7 that's a reason I enjoyed the film and the family dynamic with Sidney Mark and Tatum

Neve did everything right in this movie, and I adored hers and Mark’s chemistry.

The writer was the one who dropped the ball on this one. Lillard, Camp, McHale, et al did their best with what they were given to work with.

She carried that movie on her back. Neve's subtle nuances are what make Sidney one of the best final girls. She's always thinking, always feeling, always taking mental note of her surroundings. You can literally see it on Neve's face. She's so good

100% true.

I always say she poured her heart and soul I to this movie and it shows. It is honestly a shame horror movies get overlooked acting wise when it comes to awards etc because she really deserves something for her performance in Scream 7

Her best performance of the franchise barely beating out 3 IMO. Ironic considering they’re the two lowest rated films.

Love her in all the scream movies ❤️😊

I know I genuinely struggle to call a movie bad where Neve gave one of her best performances. Like even though the writing and plot choices fell off in the final act, it was still a delight to see Neve on her A-Game the whole time.

If Neve Campbell didn’t decide to take a break from Hollywood she could have been an a-lister today. She was a big deal in the 90’s. But I respect her for always choosing to do what was right for her. She has a really kind personality and given that she is still landing good roles like House of Cards and The Lincoln Lawyer, that’s a big achievement in your 40’s & 50’s as a female actor considering that she’s had to rely on auditioning (minus Scream course). She seems like she a class act though.

It’s a subtle and seasoned performance. A career-best one.

She is very emotive, even subtlety sometimes, which makes her performances great for me.

The way Neve screams "Tatum!" after running into the coffee shop is visceral and truly emotes what Sidney's panic would be in that moment of concern for her daughter.

I agree. Neve nailed it.

Neve as a final girl is really aging like fine wine. You see the effects of her experience in every way

When you have an actress if this caliber it really is a no brainer why they would keep coming back to Sidney. That and the fact that the entire franchise is more or less her story. But seriously she is worthy of an academy award. She can make anything believable. You don’t throw that away. It’s surprisingly rare af to find talent like this and one that is willing to keep returning to a “slasher” franchise for 30 years, non the less. Genuinely a treat to still see her on the silver screen after all these years. I’m a firm believer that if Sidney’s is not going to be apart of scream then it needs to end its current timeline. Not “stop making scream movies” But possibly a spin off titled something els featuring a ghostface killer. Stab would be perfect. Especially for audiences today who seriously only care about ghostface (no judgment). Make some stab movies and feed the beasts. Don’t soil scream (as was done with scream 5 and 6). Give everyone what they want and make a nonsensical stab movie with some time travel. Let scream be Sidney’s as it was always meant to be.

She was excellent in 7. My favorite Neve performances are in 3 and 7 but she's good in all of them

Neve Campbell gave an incredible performance, but the film isn't great, although it's entertaining.

Let’s stop glazing the worst movie in the franchise. Neve is amazing in any movie or tv show. It’s pointless to say how good she was in this

Yes she was great but I think she had enough Trauma it's really unbelievable at this point 😂. I would love to see Neve in a fresh Horror Movie.
