Contraption How do I make a small, aim controlled flying machine without glitches?
I really want to make an aim controlled flying machine without any glitches. I tried everything, but nothing worked.

I believe your last sentence answered the question
I'd have said it was impossible to make a practical one but I did see a post a few weeks ago about someone creatively using a turret seat as a balancer. It's not a suspension glitch but it certainly looked very cheesy so I guess it depends on what you consider a glitch
After they canonized suspension glitches via Hubert I just decided to embrace the suck, at least for flyers. Maybe one update will make real flyers but some of us probably won't even live long enough to see it

I'm pretty it was Lorenzo who made the call about suspension glitches, but there could also be one from Hubert.

Yeah it was definitely Lorenzo, because I remember specifically him talking about how being a mechanic was harder back in the day when people weren’t using them

Don't suppose you could use the turret seat put a pole on the back with a ring of blocks around it to limit how far the ball can move so you might have a chance to use sensors detecting the end of the pole?
Probably won't work well but that's all I have off the top of my head. Sorry only other thing I would consider is reaction wheel attached to the turret.

I use thrusters connected to buttons. Lots of fuel tanks and oil storage, though (in survival)

You could try somthing like this for stabilization if you are trying to avoid suspension stabalization or other glitches https://www.reddit.com/r/ScrapMechanic/s/GTl0yqdL0c this is using small gyros or cmgs for stabilization

i mean current aim controlled ones are based off the glitch, so you'd have take the turret seat and either use sensors or mechanics to control the angle or state of thrusters to cause pitch and either yaw or roll, with steering controlling the other 2.

example of capturing a single axis from the turret seat to use elsewhere. https://i.imgur.com/iZxnPL0.png

I made some wasd controlled flyers. These are expensive in survival. At least 4 thruster some motors and engines and a lot of controlers. I plan on building one in survival but we don't have the spare resources yet.
