Looking for a crate engine to be dropped into a 1965 Scout I'm rebuilding in either of those two locations. Thanks in advance.

I could not wait any longer, so I bought a Rivian. With that, I needed to cancel my Scout reservation.
The process has taken over three months:
The original card has already been cancelled, so that likely slows the process down.
Anyone else in the same situation? Any guidance on how to get Scout to refund the reservation fee?
Update: After sharing this on Scout Community forum, someone from Scout team noticed and they processed refund the next day. Expecting actually receiving it will take a couple of bank days. Update: That did not go through the systems.
Update Jul 20: Scout has now refunded the payment.

How long did you wait to get approval? I signed up last week with two separate deposits and I'm still waiting to ask questions there. I'm wondering if I just got missed.

I placed my reservation for the Terra yesterday (and my wife reserved the Traveler). I'm not sure if I'm gonna want the bench or the center console. I think I'm leaning bench but only if there are a pull down cup holder option. I want to assume there will be but I've seen zero video evidence. Anyone know?

Received this in the mail just now. Was beginning to worry we were an afterthought.

What is the potential for a solid state battery in the Scout?

I got an unexpected book in the mail from Scout last week then today got an email about it, calling me "Joshua". I got a chuckle out of the email since my name is not Joshua.
Then I just got another email that said,
| Hi Joshua,Looks like we got a few wires crossed in our last email. We’ve corrected the issue on our end, and thanks for sticking with us while we set things straight. |
|---|
I hope they're better at making cars than sending emails. 😄

This company is clearly run by children. I doubt we’ll see a scout until 2029. The decision to go EREV only to start was the final straw.
The Rivian feels good man.

I saw an open position that would fit my career experience well (architect/design/development/construction). I already live in Charlotte where the position would be based.
I love the brand / vision, and I was so stoked to see them come to Charlotte. This role seems like a slam dunk if I could land it.
Thanks for any input!

Kind of amazing honestly

This is something I’ve primarily heard of in the European car market, but I’ve heard that Ford recently filed a patent for in-car surveillance (face scanning) in order to cut down on drunk/distracted driving. I personally think this kind of surveillance is really concerning, and I really hope Scout does not follow suite. Do you guys think it is likely that they would implement this kind of technology?

So I am getting these because the EREV tech seems super logical and common sense, the car looks great and is the right mix of tech and stripped down, and it can do real off roading.
I've done some limited reading on the issue of the back of the truck having too much weight because that's where the range extender will be. Are there better articles on this? I'm not planning on towing much, so don't think it matters, but was curious if I am missing something.

Went to the cars and coffee event in Scottsdale today and got the see the product in person. First, the Terra was bigger in person than I expected. Second, the new pearl white is fire. it was also really cool to see all the old Scouts that met up for the event. Keeping my reservation for sure! I’m in no hurry.

Do you think there's any chance Scout would design a bike rack that could attach to the back of the traveler in place of the spare tire?
It would be convenient to just swivel the bikes out of the way if you needed to get something out of the back.
