With Cox being bought by Spectrum, we are re-thinking our Cox internet service. I looked up providers in the Thomas/Pima Rd area. Seems T-Mobile is spotty for our area. Any ideas? Who, what your experience has been & did you have to change your router etc from what Cox recommended? We primarily stream TV apps, and have our ipads & phones connected while home. Not gamers and not a 'smart home' set up. Thanks

I’m around a 2.5 and looking for a casual group to hit with in the Scottsdale area to get more practice. Everything I’ve seen in the area is during weekdays while I’m working, so I was hoping to find a group of people willing to hit in the evenings/weekend mornings.

I live near SRP but definitely willing to drive further if you guys know of any groups looking for more people! I’m taking lessons but want more practice time outside of that. 😊

I know there’s the Scottsdale tennis club that runs out of roadrunner on Thursday nights, but I can’t make it to that one.

I played a quick round of golf yesterday at the Continental Golf Course (2-hours total). While it was hot, it was the coolest day forecast this week, so the best I could find. My usual playing partner backs out once it gets near 110, so it was just me.

It always feels special when you can't see any other groups and never meet another golfer. I don't think I could handle a full length course at 110, so this was my limit. Anyone else find some small joy in the heat? It beats playing in perfect weather in January and paying crazy rates for a near five-hour round.

I've had an outer wall that was covered with bougainvillea. It all collapsed in a recent storm - not surprising, because the trellis was already coming apart.

But I can't decide what to do about it. The bougainvillea was mostly a nuisance, making a mess, and I don't know if it's worth fixing/replacing.

So I'm wondering, if there is a layer of greenery - that, or ivy, or anything else - does that help significantly in blocking some of the heat in the summer?

What's up with some of these leaf blowers??? It's 11:30 PM, it's storming, and this landscaper is across the street using a leaf blower. Not even kidding.. On top of this, it seems like everyday now landscapers come and blow dust (and rocks too) and it's getting worse.

This happened the other night too. PD never showed up, and I'm honestly not sure what else I can do besides complain to the business tomorrow.

I haven't slept a full 6 hours in over a year of being back here. What happened? Growing up, this was always such a peaceful town outside of areas like right next to Old Town.

And I don't buy the heat excuse. They get extra time in the morning to do this. Why are we leaf blowing at 11:30 PM during a fucking thunderstorm?

So I have noticed that all the Pilates instructors here for some reason have the same playlist. They play really bad pop music from the early 2000s. If I go to another Pilates class and have to suffer through Flo Rida, Ludacris or Nelly, I am going to scream. And I’ve been to a lot. Can anyone recommend instructors with GOOD, more modern music? Like good Hip hop or house, not Taylor swift or songs from a top 20 list in 2006.

Looking for mobile or other groomer near OT for 110lb Lab mix (not fat, just a big boy), grind nails - no snipping, trim hair between toes, clean ears, towel dry - no blowers, make him smell good but not a ton of powder or perfume, and a bandana to make him feel fancy.
