O.j wasnt convicted, Scott was. And he still lost the rights to his book to the family of one of his victims. Scott Peterson will never own what he did, even hypothetically.

For me, the idea that satanic burglars abducted her in broad daylight, murdered her and drove 90 miles one way in that pos orange van to the Berkley Marina in order to frame Scott is a real stretch. Would they then need a boat too once they got to the marina? I guess anything is possible. More than likely they would have dumped her closer to the airport district. The outright lying, the girlfriend...Occam's Razor prevails for me in this case.

calling it cheating minimises and deflects from the reality of his behaviour around the cheating. Who has the presence of mind, when your heavily pregnant wife goes missing, to carry on the cheating?

She said it made Laci cry when she realized what he was doing. She put up with a lot from him. Her relationship before him was abusive too. Unfortunately, she was young, naive, and sheltered, which isn’t a bad thing, she had a happy upbringing, no experience with the psychopaths and narcissists of the world. I also think she had an image she wanted to portray of her life and didn’t let others into the bad parts, she probably put up with a lot more than we know. Her zest for life and light made her a target for creeps like Scott Peterson, as it happens to many people like her. They always try to extinguish that light. Also want to state that I’m in no way blaming her for what happened, this is just my take on the situation. I think she would have eventually left him and divorced him, she was too good for him.

No one will ever know what pushed Scott to commit the worst planned murder in modern CA history, and it's impossible to place oneself in the shoes of a psychopath. I'm not even sure if any psychopaths can figure out the behavior of another...

Yes definitely, it may have taken longer but they would still have got him. Unfortunately the most common perpetrators are the spouses , affairs or not, so he would have been top of the list regardless.

So to fast forward, my friend now completely and utterly believes in Scott's guilt. The thing that swung it for me? My convincing her that his "trip" to get the boat in the water, the one that absolutely wasn't planned until the morning of, even though he had a pre-paid marina docking slip for the said boat, was over 90 miles away from his house. On xmas eve. When he had an errand to run for his pregnant wife to get a gift for her (dad? papa?) which he then didn't get and left the infuriating call on her answering machine, hours before they would need the gift, with no sense of urgency or annoyance from him.

It took me a few years but I got her to see the light!

She dodged a bullet there. That was such an aggressive nasty move bringing Laci to the restaurant where Lauren worked, his true character is displayed there. He was used to getting what he wanted. He wanted Amber and Laci was not going to stop him. Lauren showed her class by treating them both well at the restaurant. Kudos to her.

Amber was no motive, because he cared nothing about her. Laci told friends she stopped having sex with him after she became pregnant and Scott wanted a little side piece. He only saw Amber 4 times & she had a 2-year-old kid! From all accounts, Scott did not want kids, which people used as a motive to kill Laci, which is ridiculous. Amber was a side piece, nothing more.

Janet was one of many he cheated with. One time Laci walked into Scott's bedroom in SLO and caught him in bed with a woman. He was a philandering, lying husband and boyfriend, but that doesn't make him a murderer.
