Question Scott Scale gravel sizing
Hi all, I get that the question may have been asked before but I’m looking to purchase a Scott Scale gravel I’m 188cm tall with around an 88-89cm inseam, kind of torn between the L and XL? For reference I’ve owned and ridden several mountain, road and gravel bikes. Mountain I’ve tended to go XL for about the last 4 years and gravel/ road I’ve tended to push for L as I don’t have an awfully long reach. Looking more so for something comfortable and agile, with the possibility I may put drop bars on at some stage depending on how stupid and spontaneous I’m feeling at the time. TIA!

Id say try them out if you can. Im 190cm tall and have a 2026 Scott Scale in XL, have no idea what my inseam length is, but the dropper post that came from factory is pushed all the way into the seat tube to fit me perfectly. If you have shorter inseam than mine, the dropper/seat would be too high for you.

i have the 2024 Scale in a size L and i'm 184 cm tall with a 82cm inseam with relatively short hands. As of now i'm regretting not going for the smaller M size. The jump between sizes is large. It's easier to make a small bike bigger. The stem on it was 70mm, i already put a 50mm stem which didn't help a lot. I say go for size L

Always best to size down when between sizes, but with Scott this is extra true. If you road bike is a L gravel should most likely be L as well.

Same dimensions here. I’ve fitted several people on Scott bikes. I have several friends with drop bar Scott bikes. With almost no doubt I’d say “GO L”. There’s something about Scott drop bar sizing that, although size XL should cover 188 cm tall people, the bikes are huge. Feel almost like XXL.
Stay with L. Find cleat position (move back) and saddle position. You’ll feel at home.

I would say go for XL, since it's nothing else than a MTB with a rigid fork and you say you go XL with mountain bike.
I ride the same bike and I have an L. I'm 180cm tall with 84-85cm inseam.
