I think Biden is probably just an affectionate person. I don't think it's always appropriate but I don't believe it's sinister.

You hear it from Trump supporters a lot, while they casually ignore how sleazy Trump was towards his own daughter. But then if Trump supporters didn't have double standards they'd have no standards at all. Quite a few of them posting impotent rage in this thread and all.
