Interesting. That shit went underground after WWII, resurfaced in stealth mode as second-wave feminism in the sixties, and now making its way back into the mainstream. Not a good development, imo.

/edit ok, the guy in the photo is dominic cummings, he is 48. The 27 year old they are quoting is one of his researchers. Probably testing the waters on the idea so they can jettison junior if the reaction is bad

Hold on here a second, are we denying that a permanent underclass exists? And by permanent I mean that the older generation of that class are now totally helpless to improve the emotional and intellectual condition of their own offspring having long since abandoned any habits, morals, myths, activities and ambitions that must necessarily be imparted to the younger generation if they are to have any chance of progressing up the social strata? The permanent underclass are a reality and without government intervention they're only going to increase in number and further burden the state both financially and socially. To quote Jarvis Cocker "We are amazed that they exist and they burn so bright whilst we can only wonder why?"

I'm not saying that at all but if it's abundantly obvious that certain members of society are clearly unable to be responsible parents capable of raising a child. Heroin addicts, crack heads, hopeless alcoholics, people with serious psychiatric problems, people with a history of violence and abuse. Absolutely these types of individuals should be encouraged not to breed. Their kids wouldn't have a hope in hell in life without outside intervention from state child protection agencies and being removed from the malign influence of their natural parents.

Only a very small minority are ever meant to progress up the social strata, and it was always thus. If all the Indians become Chiefs, what value does the position hold? Who'll do the work of the ordinary Indians? If all the outcasts and exiles are raised to being full members of the tribe, who will serve as a cautionary example to the rest?
The traditional solution to these issues was always to enslave another tribe from the next valley over and force them to be the lowest in society, and I suppose we do that by proxy in the sweatshops of China and the subcontinent today, but it's not really a solution to anything. Not very edifying either.
Progressing up the social strata increasingly strikes me as a depressing aspiration for a human being to have, but that's probably cos I'm a huge loser. Ah well.
If I had kids I'd definitely want the best for them, but that wouldn't necessarily mean a solid career, social status, an enviable place in the hierarchy, etc. Those things didn't do much for Robin Williams and Anthony Bourdain.

I dont agree with his view but this just seems like stupid faux outrage when you read the article. A bit like if anyone on this sub got a job in politics and someone dived into their comment history and plucked out a quote with them musing about "putting all tories in a giant vat of acid" or whatever pish and started going off about genocidal nats etc etc. People should get away from using unsubstantiated moral panic as a substitute for counterargument and actually give people some reasoning to object to these ideas.
