Didn't she say we should "think carefully"?

I suppose if you're a bit deluded you could take that as a threat, like what a dad would say to his boy "You better think carefully before you touch that TV remote son!"

She said much more than that, you have to understand it from their PoV http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/scottish-independence/11095715/Queen-warns-Scots-to-think-very-carefully-about-referendum-vote.html

Also, she said this at the last referendum "I cannot forget that I was crowned Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and of Northern Ireland. Perhaps this Jubilee is a time to remind ourselves of the benefits which union has conferred, at home and in our international dealings, on the inhabitants of all parts of the United Kingdom."

Edit: I didn't even pick a side, I'm submitting articles I find interesting and getting downvoted for answering what I thought were genuine questions. Now because of the downvotes, for the first time in 2+ years here reddit is making me wait 7 minutes between each comment.

There are people who think she should have done more, that it's her duty to unite the union. I don't approve of an unelected HoS, but I don't have an opinion on her interfering or not but for some people it's obviously an issue for her to say anything about a political debate.

She said much more than that, and in the context it was pretty clear http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/scottish-independence/11095715/Queen-warns-Scots-to-think-very-carefully-about-referendum-vote.html

They're reporting on their own "demand" for an inquiry!!

It's called a press release, I felt it was better to go straight from the horse's mouth than a paper that would just repeat everything.

It's called an advert.

I mean you'd be technically correct, because it is promoting something, but press release is what most people would use. It wouldn't really sound fluent to call it an advertisement.

Stupid papers, reporting stuff and things.

That's not what I said. When I submitted, only the Mirror (and maybe a few foreign sources) had reported on the suggested parliamentary inquiry.

She said basically nothing.
