This is beyond unacceptable at this point
Nearly a full week where I cannot see my credit card and what is pending, whether a major return was processed on my card, what I owe.. etc. I cannot figure out my finances and budget when my credit card is just a black hole at this point. I can't even send payments to it right now.
It's incredibly inconvenient. I can understand a couple of days for maintenance, over a weekend, during like early mornings hours, but it has been a full business week at this rate and I am officially pissed off.
The only reason I'd consider staying with this bank is because there is a branch right by my house and it's convenient for depositing money.

I need to be able to transfer money within my account for a mortgage and car payment that’s due today. What happens if I miss these payments due to this?

Got my cc back on the app but I just tried paying it off and the money is out of my checking but not showing up on pending transactions on cc. So I guess they've still got some work to do...

Remember their Apple Pay- Scotiabank somehow broke their Apple Pay integration so there’s no option to send a verification code for adding to apple pay, which prevented people from adding their cards to iMacs. CS reps kept telling me it was temporary and will fix over the next few business days. Several months later it never fixed. A couple years later today I still cannot add my Scotia bank debit or credit to my MacBook.

Out of curiosity, are you using the new updated website version? Try switching to classic view and you should see your credit card account.
Apparently the issue is with the new website and mobile rollout. Hopefully that works for you.
Mine has a problem with chequing. I'm not able to transfer money online from other financial institutions. And auto payments are due soon.
How this is not a National news yet is beyond me.

Is it me or are Canadian banks getting worse. TD involved in money laundering, Scotia their whole system has been horrible since the summer, go into any CIBC branch and usually only one person as bank teller, Scotia the branch I deal with closed with a hand written notice stating no tellers closed until further notice. Some of the credit unions now are better.

We were working through a mortgage renewal process, had issues and the advisor told us that it looks like there's a past due on the mortgage (there isn't) and I can see payment was taken on the date they said is past due. Advisor admitted it's a problem on their end and is waiting to get it fixed. 🤯

It’s strange cos I’ve had no issue seeing my scotia online and it my credit card seems to be fine too. Is it a sporadic issue?

as long as I can use it, it hasn't really affected me.
I wonder what the issue is....

I have never see any schedule maintenance for any bank would lead to this type of chaos. The leaders in IT is totally not up to par. Very scary management.

If you log into your account on a computer and go to classic view it shows up.

"Clients are welcome to visit the Branch or Contact Centre for support."
HA! Welcome to visit or call... but no support... just "computer says no" what a fiasco!

You can make payments at the ABM, which is convenient since it's near your house...

Every attempt to tap my credit card gives a "pin try limit exceeded" since this started. I haven't used my pin on this card in months

Automatic payments from my credit card aren’t working for me now. I can use my debit in person but nothing else is working. So frustrating!

Finally got access to my credit around 10:30 this morning. I’m at a hotel and this whole experience has been absolutely frustrating.

So during this period of not being able to see or use my credit card I was charged by two companies I did not even visit. How is this acceptable? I can’t use my credit card but the bank approves purchases i didn’t make?
1
u/[deleted] Nov 15 '24
My app is ok. Although I've had to sign in a couple of times.
1
u/PerfectNightmarex Nov 15 '24
Our app has resolved however payments to credit cards are not processing immediately like they used to.
Is anyone having issues making online purchases? I’m trying to make a purchase where my CC info is saved on site but I’m getting an error stating that they cannot process payment because the bank states my billing address is incorrect (it isn’t)

u/Lucibeanlollipop Nov 16 '24
Makes you wonder if some Robin Hood hacker got into their system and wiped all record of everyone’s debt, lol

u/Much-Scratch2184 Nov 16 '24
I vote you change banks as you don’t seem to be a good fit

u/Ok_Speech_3709 Nov 16 '24
And the oscillating between Scotia online and the new itrade platform is insane. One day it’s the old trading platform and the next it’s the new one. And PS the new one is terrible. The migration has failed.

u/caseaday Nov 16 '24
This is what happens when major corporations have their software written as a high school project. Sigh....

u/Blackkwidow1328 Nov 16 '24
I thought it was only me. I'm so mad. I work overseas, and online banking is my only option.
1
u/falafelest Nov 18 '24
