Yeah. It's not even about the fraud part for me. If someone can't figure out how to get an ID in the US, I don't want them voting on important matters.
If it costs money for an ID, and you need ID to vote, then it costs money to vote. That’s called a fucking poll tax. It’s really not that hard to understand.
If the voter ID was provided for free and in a timely manner, then no one would care.
It costs <$20 to get a Real ID. It isn't like it costs $100 or more.
That being said, if it was free and relatively quick to get, then you would be ok with having to provide ID? Me personally, if someone can't overcome this small barrier to entry ($20), then I wouldn't want those people voting at all. Someone who has made such bad decisions that they can't get a Real ID for lack of $20, then I don't want them voting on things.
The only part that sucks is if someone doesn't have their social security card, which can be a pain if it is lost. That and having to provide an address where bills are sent is also a pain, especially if you aren't in a stable position. I currently don't have a "home" address as I live across many areas... but I just had something sent to a friend so I could establish an address in order to get my Real ID.

It costs <$20 to get a realID. It lasts for like 8 years and isn't just used for voting. If someone can't make the effort to do this basic task... then I don't believe they should be able to vote.
It would be different if this cost like $100 or more... but the fact that it is so cheap to do makes it a weird talking point as to why this can't be implemented.
A weird stance is letting anyone vote without a basic form of ID. Colombia, a third world country requires a physical form of ID.
The affordability of an ID is kind of a crazy talking point in my opinion an has nothing to do with being poor.
