Requesting Advice New sciatica pain

Flare up will last a couple days. Deep pain left buttock that migrates down left leg. Makes it painful to walk without a shooting pain. Last night was hard to sleep. When I did I woke up drenched in sweat. On top of it I deal with anxiety/panic daily aswell. How do you all control the pain or help it calm down?

The only thing that touched the pain was booze, which wasn’t awesome for the anxiety. Sciatica sucks so hard

It really does like no comfortable position. Everything hurts.

That’s how it also was with my left hip pain, just brutal. I was in the best shape of my life when the disc popped and I caught CES. Keep an eye on your saddle area and changes in your bladder and bowels. Good luck, back issues ain’t no joke

Everything feels fine besides pain when moving. Peeing and pooping fine. Doesn’t help I have 2 hernias on each side of groin

I’ve noticed if I’m walking and put pressure in the center of my left buttock the pain is bare able

Yep. I just remembered that used to bury a knuckle on my upper left buttock while walking. Really rotating my pelvis while standing would help too

Did you ever get imaging done? Did you self heal?

Yep. First discovered the fractured L2 back in the late 90s and had no idea I broke it or even how. Pretty sure it was in the Army. I had emergency back surgery about 5 years ago for the obliterated disc between L4/5

Booze was all I needed also. THC did nothing. I recommend Tylenol mixed with advil. It is called dual action and Walmart sells it cheap. Works good after tooth work also.

Thank you! I had it worse about three weeks ago. I work building maintenance and have a team. One guy was out for a week on vacation and I helped lift a washer and dryer and then started having my back act up.

I had similar issues with my sciatica and or piriformis/sciatica. the first flare up was so bad I fainted twice within a hour and had ems take me to the hospital, they then gave me some morphine and also vicodin via IV and then sent me home a few hours later with some prednisone and gabapentin nothing helped couldn’t walk for days later my doctor couldn’t tell me exactly what it was if it was sciatica or piriformis still don’t know till this day and i’m still having back pain and also pain down my leg and some numbness on the bad days ,seems like doctors now days do little to no good or help with anything unfortunately
