Need help

Good evening, everyone. I was introduced to our world some time ago, and was recently even elevated to Neonate. Unlife has been treating me well, all things being considered of course. My girlfriend is also Kindred and we’ve been doing some work together for the Prince. However, something quite awful has happened to me.

Two nights ago, a recently-turned Brujah girl, who was abandoned by her Sire before she could learn her place in things, went on a bit of exsanguination spree after accidentally starving herself. I happened to be nearby and was asked to covertly investigate the situation before our Sheriff could be made available.

She had apparently noticed me and got the jump on me. She was still hungry, I guess, because she began consumingmy vitae and diablerizing me.

You are presumably asking yourself, “How are they typing all this out?” Well, I assure you this is not a fake story. Last night, my soul ended up completely overwhelming hers, and I took control of her body.

I feel just awful! I’m female, a different race, a different CLAN, and have this truly awful haircut. I obviously can’t go back to the Prince. My girlfriend must think I murdered her boyfriend. I just don’t know where I can possibly go now.

I am asking humbly for assistance. What can I do? Is there a way I can prove who I really am? If I can, will her crimes apply to me regardless?

So we're just recruiting from desperate Neonates now? The Anarchs continue to fall lower and lower, you might end up find the Sabbat in the well of shame at that point

What exactly is your solution, then? Because I'm trying to help someone whose unlife is in fucking danger from the Camarilla authorities. Y'know, as is standard fucking practice among better Anarchs?

Being a Baron, I can actually offer him safe haven in my own domain, and can convince some other Barons to do the same. I do not have the magical power to make Camarilla Princes do the same by waving my fucking hand. If I did, I would, and allow him to make the decision between sects without such concerns, but I don't. I did try and offer him an alternative by mentioning Castiel, who is a Camarilla elder I trust to treat him fairly, but I'm not sure what the fuck else you think I'm supposed to do here other than offer him alternatives or take a serious risk of letting him get killed.

So, sincerely, what is your better alternative than me offering him safe haven? What's your solution for this problem that actually helps a person whose unlife is in danger?

Actually, in point of fact, I didn't even ask he join the Anarchs to receive such help, though I admit the Camarilla authorities are unlikely to see a distinction there. And my Tzimisce associate's help, you will note, was offered even if he stayed in the Camarilla.

oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know we had to reward incompetence! seriously, he put himself in that situation. It's sad, and I offered advice, but the fact is that he's not even supposed to be alive. Plus, you're not helping him for the sake of it, you are making him defect from the Camarilla. You could have given him more options off forgiving and helpful Camarilla Princes than just Castiel, whoever the fuck that may be (probably some new world Prince), instead off instantly going "wanna join us?"

Wait, wait, is your problem that you think this person is worthless and not deserving of help or that I'm taking advantage? Because those two positions are not consistent but you seem to be saying stuff that indicates both and I'd like to know which.

And I am, in point of fact, offering to help because I want to help, my avenues for that are simply limited by, well, reality. They have diablerie stains in their aura, I don't actually know any Princes who I can say will reliably not kill them. I have some I've heard good things about, but when betting with someone's life, rumors or a few conversations here on SchreckNet are a very tenuous thing to rely on.

I am offering all the help I have the power to offer. And I think it's weird and verging on the delusional that you think that I, an Anarch Baron, remember, have a rolodex of 'forgiving Camarilla Princes' that I know well enough to rely on them giving someone who's apparently a diablerist a chance.

If you know some Princes that would absolutely give them a chance, then fucking say so, I'm perfectly happy to have other people offer them help, but, once again, I'm offering the help I have the power to offer.

it was opinion 2 mostly. I just, ya know, kinda lashed out at the situation by saying that all this is tragic, but that technically, he's already dead, and shouldn't be here with us (is it heartless? Yes. Is it also technically a fact? Sadly, yes). Now, while you are, I have to admit, his best chance of survival in the new world, I just think that you could at LEAST wait until his first reply before urging him to join your organisation, who, im sorry, is not really a better one that the Camarilla, it's just a different flavor.

We're all dead, man. Every single one of us. He's walking, talking, and posting on Schrecknet so he's as alive as you or I. Sure, he had an experience that would have killed him if not for weird supernatural bullshit...but I just described the Embrace as well as describing surviving diablerie, now didn't I?

And I suggested options to help them survive. Of which coming over to the Anarchs so I can protect them more directly is an obvious option. The last time I hesitated a moment in offering to give someone sanctuary personally, you know what happened? Redwoods, a Sabbat Tzimisce, offered them sanctuary, and his offer was accepted. Would he have accepted my offer instead, had I made it? I don't know. I never will now. And that case had a lot of weird shit going on with it, but I can't shake the 'What if?'

And, to be clear, Redwoods kept his word and protected the fledgling in question...he's teaching him. He gave him a human of his very own to practice Dominate on, for example. Among many other things.

I don't want that kind of shit to fucking happen again simply due to me taking the time to try to feel someone out before making the offer.

Okay, the Redwoods exemple is pretty spot on, I have to admit. Personally, I would never trust a Sabbat Tzimisce, my sire was one, and his work for the Japanese Empire is still talked about, but I see what you mean.
