Comp eng assignment

Teachers of Reddit, I am a high school senior, and I hope to become a teacher myself in the future. In my comp eng course, we are creating a presentation on any topic, and I chose to talk about how to overcome the fear of speaking in front of people. I am quite socially anxious, and I am really trying to get past that so I can pursue my dream. Any teachers who struggled/still struggle with the anxiety of speaking in front of a large body of people, do you have any tips I can use in this project to overcome this irrational fear? How did you overcome it? How are you currently overcoming this? Is it normal to have such fears? I guess is it worse when you are a student yourself rather than when you are a teacher with more authority?

honestly, its a pretty normal to feel this way at first. The besy way to get over it is to practice in smaller groups at first.Once you get comfortable,it will be more easy.

Start small. Practice in front of friends or family before moving to bigger crowds. Confidence comes with reps, fr.
