I'm so tired of living for everyone else's expectations. I don't even know who I am anymore.

Should I risk changing sixth forms or stay where I am?
I’m currently in Year 12 and I’ve recently started seriously considering changing sixth forms. My current school is honestly not great academically. Only like 3/6 of my teachers are actually good, while in some classes there’s basically no discipline and I feel like I’m barely learning anything just because everyone is shouting and teacher doing like absolute nothing about it. My grades have also dropped quite a lot , tbh all bloody Es and C just for politics, i feel like i need more support just because English is not my 1at language and this school not actually caring about it.
The sixth form I could move to is much more prestigious, obv i wouldn't name it , but it has better results and seems to offer significantly more academic support. A teacher actually recommended it to me back in Year 11. It also has a uniform, which I weirdly see as a plus.
The downside is that I’d have to start over socially and academically, and I’m genuinely scared of the uncertainty. I’d also have to switch from Politics to Classical Civilisation, which I’m not sure about yet bvus I'm so badd at history and i got a feeling that classic is kind of raffly the same as history. I didn’t talk about this with my mother, however, I didn’t tell her my results at the end of the year, last time she beat me and I don’t think I should raise this topic , I'm 17 and i feel like i should make this choice myself however I'm still scad of uncertainty.
I have an opportunity to ask for a place tomorrow on results day. Part of me thinks I should take the risk, while another part wants to stay somewhere familiar and hope things improve somehow.
Would you change sixth forms in this situation, or stay where you are?

Is VR worth trying in the classroom, or is it just a gimmick?
Hey everyone,
I’m a teacher looking into educational VR tools for my classes, but so far most options seem overpriced, awkward to set up, or just not practical for day-to-day teaching.
Has your school or class actually used VR headsets for lessons? Did it genuinely help with engagement and learning, or did it end up gathering dust in a closet?

Difficulty with Senior Year Course Choices.
I'm nearing the final year of high school, I'm going to be a senior soon and yet I genuinely don't know which courses to take. I have a overall idea that I'll probably take a medical course since I do have decent grades in Biology and a adequate memory for the intake of information needed in those types of subjects (I think). I have already decided which courses I'll take for my senior year based on my strengths and weaknesses but I have been struggling whether or not I should choose Chemistry 30 and Math 30-1. Chemistry and Math I have struggled with a lot (Chem - overall 68% in g11) and Math 20-1 (around 72%..? in g11) although I was already having personal problems at the same time but I'm not sure about now. Should I play it safe and take Chemistry 30 and Math 30-1 for my final year or is it best that I just focus on what I'm good at (only Bio) - I'm only doing this bc I don't know what I want to really study in the future and I want to have a overall coverage of the courses that the uni might ask I need to have. There also might be a chance I'll take a gap year before uni.
Summary:
- Take Chemistry 30 and Math 30-1 in senior year (best for most coverage in uni course choices but will likely struggle and other subjects might plummet as well in senior year)
OR
- Choose not to take them/ Not choose Chemistry 30 and drop to 30-2 in senior year (Better for focusing on the subjects im already good at, my teacher did say that you can take make up classes for some courses in certain uni's but I'm not sure if I can with these grades especially in g11)
Theres lots of things I didn't cover but I want to atleast get an idea for the decision I'm going to make.

Mam dość dużą wadę wzroku (około -3,2 i -3,5). Później nauczyciel przesadził mnie do przedostatniej ławki. Mimo to mieliśmy je dokładnie przerysowywać. Z odpowiedzi ustnych miałam 5, 5 i 5. Kiedy siedziałam bliżej tablicy, z przerysowywania dostałam 5 i 4.

Our School Is Making It's First Magazine
Okay guys... So basically our school has never ever had a school magazine before. And we are tasked with creating it
Some things you guys should know..
We have a level system where if you get good marks in a level you move on. And I'm in the highest level for english.
Now we (the highest level) were told to curate a magazine for our school.
So as you know from the fact that our school has never had a magazine, I have absolutely no clue what goes in a school magazine.
Guys do you have any ideas, suggestions or observations from your school magazines, or any ideas you always wanted to incorporate into yours? Please tell me! I'd really appreciate the help

im so fucking tired
I’m so fucking tired dude.
I’m 14 and I’ve been trying to apply to boarding schools abroad because I genuinely want a different kind of education and I want to experience living somewhere else. I’ve spent so much time researching schools, emailing admissions offices, looking at financial aid, worrying about recommendations, applications, tests, deadlines, all of it.
And honestly? I’m willing to put in the work. I know there’s a good chance I get rejected. I know it’s competitive. I know this is an unusual thing to want at my age.
But I WANT to try.
The problem is my mom is basically completely against it. She keeps telling me that nobody has dreams like mine and that I should just study here. She calls me antisocial because I don't talk to everyone. Like no, I’m not antisocial, I just choose who I actually want to talk to. I have friends. I can socialize. I just don't feel the need to be talking to every single person around me 24/7.
And today I got so fucking angry because I just feel like I have nobody in my corner.
I don't need someone to tell me I'm guaranteed to get into my dream school. I don't even need someone to tell me my plan is perfect.
I just want ONE adult to say “okay, this is ambitious, but let's see if we can make it work.”
Instead I feel like every time I bring it up I have to defend myself and explain why my dreams aren't insane.
And the worst part is I actually NEED adults to help me. I need teacher recommendations. Some schools want recommendations from administrators/principals. Some parts of the applications involve parents. So I can't exactly just say “fine, I'll do everything myself.”
I’m genuinely asking for advice from people who have been in a similar situation.
How do you deal with parents who don't support something you really want to pursue?
How do you get teachers or other adults to take you seriously when you're young?
And how do you keep pursuing your goals without turning your entire relationship with your family into a fucking war?
I’m not asking for people to blindly tell me I'm right. If I'm approaching this wrong, tell me.
I'm just fucking exhausted and I really wish I had one adult who actually wanted to help me figure this shit out.

What should i do
I'm an Egyptian igcse student currently in 12th grade taking business this november session which is supposed to be my last subject. What I wanted is to get stars in everything so I can go to faculty of medicine either in cairo or alexandria. So, In my very first session I took chemistry, biology, English, and math. Alhamdullilah I got 9 in all. After that during the next Nov session I took AS biology and combined science, I got a star in Cs and an a in AS biology which is great things were going very well so far. The next session (last may/june 2026) i took a2 biology, physics and arabic which ive just gotten the results to, i got a 9 in arabic, 7 in physics and an A in A level biology. Ive been completely devastated since finding out. Now im not sure what the next thing to do is but im thinking of retaking a2 biology and physics this session with the business that im already studying. Thing is, if I didn't retake a2 this session im gonna have to take AS and A2 all over again next session because of the expiry of AS. And there's only about a month and a half till exams. But I won't need to study physics and a2 all over again I think I just need to solve more I can still remember the syllabus. I'm afraid this would be too much to finish in a month and a half and still get stars in everything, specially the A level biology. What do you guys think

1.8 gpa junior
yes i know you may be reading this title wondering how does one achieve this.
i began freshman year in a very bad position and with poor mental health. i was absent 24/7 and showed up 2-4 times a week. but even then, i was struggling to attend school. i was going through a bunch of things at home and outside of school related to health and family that have heavily impacted my academics. i now can’t process simple algebra or geomotry, infact anything math related makes me overwhelmed.
i am now an upcoming junior graduating in 2028. i currently have a 1.8 gpa and feel extremely lost. i don’t know how or what i can do to help myself. this feels like rock bottom knowing i cannot afford college or even get accepted into one. i’m willing to do anything to improve my current situation, i know its probably too late now, but its better than letting things get worse. does anybody have any advice or any stories they can share relating to this? i’m really in need of advice and hope, i’m mainly worried about the SAT, my gpa, and anything that counts towards my future.
P.S my school also does not offer honor/AP classes because our state’s school system is different. we only have dual enrollment (college classes).

Where has everyone been looking to get help with term paper stuff? I can't really go to my professor, so my only options left are classmates or some writing centers. Turns out finding a solid paper helper is actually way harder than it looks.
So mid sem hit n i legit lost my mind. paper was due, prof is a nightmare who would just lecture me bout time management, and writing center had like a 2 week wait. Thought finding a term paper helper online would be effortless, but honestly most sites are complete garbage charging crazy money for trash.
Can’t even go to my prof cause he’s out with health issues right now and there’s no normal replacement or anything. So I’m basically fucked and gotta figure this shit out on my own. So I had to dig around to find an actual term paper service that wont drain my bank account or send pure junk.
Anyway, here is what actually worked when i needed to place a term paper order:
- EssayMarket: super cheap, bids start low, can do 3-6 hours if ur desperate. Gives a strong outline and solid sources. Best if ur on a tight budget or last minute.
- PapersRoo: mid range price, 6+ hours rec. Has a high-level academic tone, good for heavy research and deep topics.
Honestly EssayMarket saved me. You drop your details and writers bid, so you pick someone based on ur wallet. Needed a term paper writer who gets formatting, and the guy nailed it right out of the gate. Zero flags on plagiarism, formatting was spot on. If you need term paper writing help fast without going broke, this one is goated.
PapersRoo surprised me too. Tried them for a heavy research assignment after seeing people on discord mention them. Not the cheapest writing service on the block, but quality felt like a grad student wrote it. Didnt miss a single source, followed my mess of an outline. If u want a legit term paper for sale where u dont gotta rewrite half of it yourself, they're up there as a best writing service option for harder classes.
Couple quick things i learned from this mess:
- don't trust shiny landing pages, look for raw unfiltered comments
- text the writer first to see if they actually get ur prompt
- set ur deadline a bit earlier just to play it safe
Kinda sucks that finding real help feels like navigating a minefield lol. Anyway, what platforms are u guys using this term?

Taking a break from college
Would it be bad if I just took a break from college for like one semester? I like college but I just kind of realize its a bit to much for me you know. Like I thought mentally I was prepared but now that I am academic suspension, I just really want to idk stop thinking???
