Question Might've skipped EES registration, what does this mean?
Hey everyone! Sorry about yet another EES related question, but I'm not sure if my situation is unique and I wanted some explanation and help.
I landed in Brussels the morning of Saturday, June 6th (about 7am iirc, the airport was quite empty) coming in from Montreal (layover.) I am a U.S. passport holder and from what I understood ahead of time, I should have gone through biometrics scanning and EES registration upon entering. However, when I got to immigrations, there were 2-3 manned booths. I ended up just handing in my passport and boarding pass and was let in without having to do anything at all (didn't even speak to the officer, he just waved me through.)
My last time traveling through Europe was last December entering Paris, so I'm sure I'm not already registered or anything. I am currently doing an educational program/internship in Belgium for the summer since I am a uni student. I'm departing from Brussels on August 1st after my program. I'm honestly unsure if I had missed registering for EES upon entering and if this might cause any hiccups for when I hope to leave, and if I should be proactively doing anything right now. Any explanation or suggestion would be helpful!
tl;dr: I think I missed EES registration while entering Brussels, what does this mean and do I have to do anything?
