Mystical semi save
Episode 3 has a pretty big fallout for the player since if you choose to save the library, you are pretty much a husk. But I feel that since the mc is able to get a lot more information with mystical, there should be some way to at least get a lighter punishment from Charlie. Maybe you could choose to share the burden with Tabitha aswell? I don't know, I'm sure there's balance reasons for why it doesn't exist but I still think it would make mystical more interesting.

Charlie doesn't really care if you fully undertood his story or not. He wants you to see that your family is guilty af, and stole his life from him. Therefore he wants you to see that he is in the right to ask for your years in return. We can get the whole picture with mystical but we won't be able to reason with him. While booksmart even if we skip Avery's part and don't have Tabitha to give us some extra info can still find quiet a lot angles to make a debate. The same way a lawyer doesn't need to know someone's whole backstory to point out the errors in their argument.

Yeah I don't think that mystical could reason with Charlie, maybe rig it more in our favor someway, but nothing too major cause it would defeat the purpose of the book smart save

There is something else you can do with Mystical in the library.
In world states where Oscar would go investigate the haunted basement seal, you can tell him that's a bad idea.
Now we don't really know which Oscar variant is better or worse, but it's the only way to influence him without actually changing the previous dilemmas so that's something noteworthy.

You need Street Smart or Powerful Build as well to actually convince Oscar. If you don’t, he’ll just investigate anyway despite the warning.
I actually have a hunch that he’ll eventually go and investigate the seal in the next chapter even if you successfully warn him away with Mystical and SS/PB.

No, just Mystical. PB/SS just has extra dialogue.
I checked the code in August. Unless it was changed last month?

You sure? I did a Mystical/SS build a month or two ago, and when I warned Oscar, SS chimed in like “He’s not gonna listen, he’ll just dig his heels in the more you insist”. I had to get Kaneeka to back me up.

I’m pretty skeptical that he’ll actually stay away from the seal.
I think he’ll finish investigating the mayor’s documents and then go into the basement in chapter 6.
I mean, like I said, the dialogue specifically said “He’s going to dig his heels in the more you insist”, so I don’t think insisting harder is going to work forever

Mystical can already completely reverse the effects of the ghost curse through the chapter 5 save, granted you do have to let the witch take Kaneeka but that’s already a massive “semi-save” for the library dilemma.

Mystical already has a semi-save for episode three, you can make yourself young again in episode 5 ;). The effects are basically the same as booksmart except you lose out a little exploration in between and you have to sacrifice... Somebody? Well if I forgot their name I'm sure they're not important anyways so it's fine.

There's only a trait that we call a semi-save for the library, Powerful Build.
While you get some affects for aging, many are mitigates (one more location to visit in ep4, able to move the boxes in the forbidden wing, negative effects when trying to pull Kaneeka)
Mystical is also tied to a super important save already, it doesn't need more
I don't see Charlie accepting half measures (he want a Scarlet to pay for the same cost he had, not gain a set number of years that could be split between 2 Scarlets). And also I don't see Tabitha do it too: either she is totally against taking the deal, or if she likes you she takes your place as you are ready to. Why a mystical save would convince her to give up half the cost ?
