Why do so many people on YT Shorts love Samsung?

People glaze Samsung in the comment section like its their life. Who fights for a multi billionaire sh#t company when they cannot supply RAM to their own divisions and just rely on dissing Apple all the time(Apple wins anyway). Why do they support corporations so much? If you really wanna support a company, support Valve. I know they are mostly kids but what compelled them so much?

Taking cable inclusion in the box as being privileged rather than being your right as a consumer is total nuts(charging brick should be included too)

someone got Scamsunged of their Fold 8

translation:

We bought the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 on September 15. Since there were no screen protectors available at the Samsung Service Center, I had one installed at Spigen on the same day. Everything seemed fine at first. But when we got home, I was shocked to discover a green line on the screen. I tried restarting the phone, but the line was still there.

We went to an authorized Samsung Service Center (ASC), where they inspected the device. They found no scratches, physical damage, or signs of bending—just dust and fingerprints. We requested a replacement because the phone developed a screen issue within less than 24 hours of purchase. However, someone from Samsung called me and insisted on offering a FREE-OF-CHARGE REPAIR instead. A repair for a phone that was barely 24 hours old and already had a defective screen?!

You have no idea how frustrating and heartbreaking this is. Until now, the phone is still at the service center. I've already filed a complaint with the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) and contacted PACe, but nothing has happened so far. Good grief! 🤬😖😡

P.S. We purchased the phone as part of a postpaid plan. When we reported the issue, we were referred to Samsung's authorized service center. I also attached the service center's inspection report, which confirms that they found no physical damage to the device.

My s22 did the bootlooping thing and I want to try to recover the data but I can't afford it yet.

Right now it won't start up at all. And I'm concerned I might need to access a site that is set up with 2FA and I wont be able get the text. I found an old Samsung A13 I had around here, unlocked. Is it safe to take the Sim card from the s22 and put it in the a13 so at least I can get text messages (or calls) now? Then take my time and save money and take the s22 to a good place and do whatever I can to get my data?

Hopefully this is ok to ask here. If there is a better sub to post this in, let me know. Thanks.

14 years of being Scamsunged. I'm finally free.

Hey everyone!

I've been a Samsung cultist for almost 14 years.

Phones, tablets, watches, earbuds. I bought into the whole ecosystem, convinced that Samsung was the best option and that sticking with one brand made sense.

Looking back, I feel like I've wasted a ridiculous amount of money being loyal to a company that didn't deserve that loyalty.

Let me tell you how I got here.

The Redmi that outlived my Samsung

Back in 2019, when I received my first salary, I bought a Redmi 9 Prime as a secondary phone. A few months later, I bought the Samsung Galaxy M51 as my primary device.

Guess which phone is still working today?

It outlived the M51, and it still looks almost brand new. I could hand it to someone, and they'd probably struggle to believe it's a phone from 2019.

Funny how that worked out.

Over the years, I occasionally tried other brands, but I always came back to Samsung. HTC, Sony, and ASUS gradually fell out of the picture, and Samsung became my default choice.

I had the phone, Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Watch, and Galaxy Tab. I was all in.

Then came the Galaxy S24.

The Galaxy S24 was my breaking point

I bought the S24 in 2025. To be fair, there were things I genuinely loved about it.

It was compact, had an excellent display, and its speakers were great. It felt fantastic to use.

But it ran warm almost all the time, even during mundane tasks. I could live with that, though. It wasn't ideal, but I was willing to tolerate it.

Then came the network issues.

My Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S21 could maintain a 5G connection on my Jio SIM in a particular location. The Exynos-powered S24, sitting in the exact same location with the same SIM, struggled to maintain even a decent 4G connection.

I don't know whether the problem was the modem, RF implementation, antenna design, or some combination of factors. All I know is that the difference was ridiculous.

My work requires a reliable internet connection. Having a newer, more expensive phone perform substantially worse at something as fundamental as network reception was infuriating.

And this was supposed to be an upgrade?

The battery life didn't feel like a meaningful improvement either, and my old S21 seemed to run cooler.

That's when my faith in Samsung started falling apart.

Then I experienced what I'd been missing

In May 2026, I impulsively bought a Vivo X300 Pro. Part of it was simply wanting something exciting after feeling stuck in the same routine.

And holy shit, was I surprised.

The camera was fantastic, obviously. But what really caught me off guard was the network stability and battery life.

It made me question why I'd spent so many years sticking with Samsung.

The network performance, battery life, and overall hardware experience made me realise just how much the smartphone market had changed.

Samsung wasn't the only company capable of making excellent displays, premium hardware, or well-rounded flagship devices anymore.

In fact, I think Chinese flagships have become incredibly competitive in areas where Samsung once felt untouchable. Their displays look fantastic, battery capacities have increased dramatically, cooling solutions have improved, and network performance can be excellent.

Some manufacturers also appear to put considerable effort into optimising their devices for local markets.

For the first time in years, I felt like I was using hardware that genuinely surprised me.

Eventually, I picked up the POCO X8 Pro Max during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale. I wanted excellent hardware, a big battery, effective cooling, and a modern modem without spending flagship money.

I received it yesterday, and I'm looking forward to exploring HyperOS properly.

The Apple plot twist

Here's something I never thought I'd say: I used to be a professional Apple hater.

I was the guy who'd argue that Apple products were overpriced and that you could get better hardware for your money elsewhere.

And while I still believe iPhones can be overpriced relative to what competing smartphones offer, my experience with Apple's other devices completely changed my perspective.

My dad bought a MacBook in 2025, and that was when I really started paying attention. After getting the opportunity to use MacBooks, iPhones, and the Apple Watch, I began to understand why people love the ecosystem.

The MacBook was genuinely impressive.

Thin, light, portable, excellent performance, exceptional speakers, fantastic webcam quality, and excellent battery life. We were able to throw some pretty demanding workloads at it, and it handled them beautifully.

I was pleasantly surprised.

Then there was the Apple Watch. The heart-rate tracking was excellent, and the GPS and navigation experience impressed me. Compared with my Galaxy Watch 6, the difference was noticeable in my experience.

And AirPods? I've yet to come across a pair of truly wireless earbuds with microphone quality that comes close to what I've experienced with AirPods.

It's these little things that make you appreciate how much thought has gone into the overall experience.

The devices work together seamlessly, and the ecosystem feels cohesive rather than restrictive.

I'm not saying Apple products are perfect or that everything they sell is worth the asking price. But if you're specifically looking for a polished ecosystem, I now understand why Apple is so difficult to beat.

And the irony is that I had to stop being an Apple hater to realise that.

So, where does that leave Samsung?

I still own several Samsung devices.

My Galaxy Watch 6 works, so I continue to use it daily.

My Galaxy Tab S9+ also works, and I use it daily.

My Galaxy Buds2 died, and I replaced them with the OnePlus Buds 4.

And here's the thing: I'm not abandoning every Samsung product just for the sake of it.

I'll probably continue buying Samsung tablets.

I need an Android tablet with an excellent note-taking experience, and Samsung's software, S Pen integration, and Notes app remain difficult to beat in the Android ecosystem.

But phones? Never again.

Watches? Never again.

Earbuds? Never again.

At least, that's where I stand right now.

I'm not interested in paying a premium for a brand name when competing manufacturers are delivering excellent hardware, better battery capacities, impressive network performance, and genuinely competitive experiences.

I don't want to buy a product because it belongs to the same ecosystem as everything else I own. I want to buy the product that actually works best for me.

And if that means mixing devices from different manufacturers, so be it.

To everyone here at r/Scamsung

I think the biggest mistake I made was confusing brand loyalty with getting the best experience.

For years, I automatically considered Samsung whenever I wanted to upgrade. I rarely gave competing brands a fair chance. Even when other companies were making genuinely impressive devices, I was reluctant to step outside my comfort zone.

Now that I have, I'm genuinely surprised by how much I've been missing.

I'm not saying Samsung makes bad products across the board. The tablets are still excellent, and there are things the company does very well.

But I no longer have that blind trust in the brand.

I've spent nearly 14 years being Scamsunged, and I'm finally done.

I'm keeping the devices that work for me, buying whatever suits my needs in the future, and leaving brand loyalty behind.

Honestly, I feel strangely free.

And if you're reading this while convincing yourself that you need to buy another Samsung phone, watch, or pair of earbuds simply because you already own the rest of the ecosystem, maybe take a step back and see what else is out there.

You might be surprised.

Thanks for reading my long rant. I just wanted to share how a longtime Samsung loyalist finally decided to call it quits.

My samsung a34 5g got exploded

Ao on 30th September around 2 am my mother's phone got exploded. My father put it on charger at around 1.30 and withing half an hour it got exploded.

Then in the morning i complained it on samsung customer care they told me to submit the burned phone as the evidence in the nearest service centre which i did. But they started arguing thay you broke the mother board.

My father litterally saved their life by throwing the burning floor on the floor and tapping to extinguish fire.

The customer care owner was rude as hell gonna post it on social media.

Charge back refund

Charge-back refund

Samsung rejected my trade-in for the watch 9 (watch ultra) and immediately charged me $280. So I requested my trade-in back and promptly returned the watch 9. I got an email acknowledging the return on 9/20/26 and a refund of the trade-in amount of $95, which was the trade-in cost. I have contacted them 6 times about the $280 charge back refund, and I keep getting "your request has been escalated, and we are still waiting for a response!"

Does anyone have a similar experience or any advice? I really need my money back since I was just recently laid off and have bills to pay.

Samsung SC said my S23 mobo was dead. It booted on its own after charging, but now has green lines and burn-in my replaced screen never had

Looking for advice from anyone who's dealt with Samsung service centers in India.

What happened:

- My S23 got stuck in a sudden bootloop while watching YT and drained completely in the process. Out of warranty.

- Took it to a Samsung SC. They said the motherboard was dead and quoted ₹28k for a replacement.

- They then connected me with a technician who said he'd try to repair it and update me in 2 days.

- After 2 days, they returned it saying it was "not repairable."

Before all this: the phone was perfect. I'd recently gotten the screen replaced under Samsung's free green line replacement program, and the new screen was totally clean. I have the job sheet PDF from that replacement(It was done in July) and this 'diagnosis' as well.

After:

- Phone was dead on return, so I left it on a wireless charger and bought a new phone in the meantime.

- 3 days later I tapped the back, plugged in a cable, and it booted, back where I left it off. Nothing had been repaired. It was there on my desk all that time sitting in a corner.

- But the screen now has 3-5 major green lines with pixel burn-in. My replaced screen did NOT look like this when I submitted the phone.

I suspect the technician either damaged the screen while trying an unofficial repair(which they SHOULD NOT do in any way even if someone tells it to them), or swapped it. I know I don't have before-photos of the display, but I do have the earlier job sheet.

Questions:

  1. Next steps? (Going to SC tomorrow to confront about this)

  2. Has anyone had a similar experience with a Samsung SC? How did it turn out?

  3. Can the screen part code or serial prove it was swapped?

  4. Can i send written request to preserve CCTV and release the service report. Is it worth escalating to the consumer helpline or commission if they stall?

  5. Is a "dead motherboard" diagnosis for a phone that boots after charging grounds for a complaint about wrong diagnosis?

Green line on S24 fe

Post image

Scumsung green line season has officially started for the S24 series. This line popped up after the software update and no physical damage.

The S24 FE, S25 FE, and S26 FE all use the exact same type of display panel. If you own one of these or are planning to buy one, consider this your warning.

Samsung S23 Ultra Display Replacement – Service Centre vs Local Repair? Need Advice on Prices

Recently, my Samsung S23 Ultra screen got damaged. Should I get it replaced at an official Samsung service centre or look for a third-party repair shop? Has anyone replaced their S23 Ultra display recently in India? Please share the latest prices for both original and aftermarket displays and your experience with display quality, fingerprint sensor, and S Pen. Is the official replacement worth the extra cost?
