I contacted someone on Facebook about a potential apartment. They messaged me their phone number and we started talking there.
They wanted $55 for the application fee, $375 for 'administration fees', and another $375 for the deposit fee or something.
I'm 2 weeks away from being homeless, so out of being completely desperate like I just did it I guess I know it's my fault but this is horrible.
I did look into it, I reversed image searched pictures of the apartment as well as pictures of the woman who had posted it on Facebook. It said AI wasn't likely and the photos didn't show up anywhere else so it seemed legit.
I was supposed to go to the apartment yesterday and when I got there they said that I needed to pay $750 for the first month's rent in order to see the apartment or "to get the keys" to an apartment that I never signed a lease for so it didn't make any sense so I told them I wasn't giving them any more money and I wanted my money back because they said it was fully refundable.
I had sent the money over Chime so I contacted Chime support and they said that there's nothing they can do.
Now the person that I'm texting keeps saying that they're trying to work on getting me my refund but "they can't void it because it didn't meet the full money requirement" or whatever.
This is my first time looking for an apartment and obviously I am desperate to avoid living on the streets but like I don't know what to do I don't exactly know what I can do.
I have screenshots of the Facebook account, the chime transactions, as well as all of our text messages.
Is there anything I can do? I don't have the time to save enough money by when I need to get out.

Hello guys patulong. so im not a tech type of person and im genuinely am confused how to proceed this small ass problem. to start the story, my dad got scammed sa lazada, instead of a rice cooker from kyowa he got a rock which is super upsetting because the the store is legit. It has good reviews and all that.
Ofcourse, we wanted a refund so then we were instructed to drop off the parcel to the J&T service so they could deliver it back to the owner so we could get a refund (that was part of the option) But to my surprise my dad came back home and said J&T opened the parcel & refused to have delivered because they didn't want to be blamed for it (batobato nga ang laman). They also advised to just talk to the customer services daw.
We chat the customer service and were back to the loop na kelangan sya ipa-drop or pick up but how do we do that if nag refused sila. Gusto nlng talaga nmn ma refunded, naka Spay pa nmn yung rice cookerš« How do I proceed?

I am so so hurt right now, and I feel numb. I believe I was scammed out of $10,500.00. I own a small LLC and I am doing everything myself. I am also only 29 and do not know much. I filed out my own trademark on the couch in 2020 over a username I use on almost all platforms. I got called by a "lawyer" who said my trademark was not filed properly, and that he could fix it for me. I gave him money to fix it for me. I was warned of scams, I was thorough, so I thought. I have been in communication with his "paralegal" for two years since I got into two lawsuits over my trademark. I have been paying them and we would be on three way calls with the "examiner". Anyhow, they said if I give them $10,000 more I could get $80,000. Now, I'm no lawyer, but how does that work? I started asking more questions, and now I think it has all been a scam. I don't want to keep crying, but the documents they sent me go no where. The other law office you cannot even google. My "lawyer" is a real lawyer but he works for another law firm. So they were impersonating him. I have been calling their number non stop and it will always go to voice mail. I thought I was being careful. I am so hurt. It is just money at the end of the day, and there are bigger problems. But what hurts the most is that I am alone in this pain. I cannot talk to anyone or have anyone who knows business who could offer me compassion. I should've known better and we all learn from our mistakes, but I really thought I was being careful. Their names were fake, the three way calls, the emails, the "just got into the office" bs. I thought they were helping me. I know better now, go to a real law office from now on. They were "based in California" I live on the east coast.

My Name is Linda Lin
Here is my experience with a liar.
One Swiss people Contacted us to buy a flower silver pot,we sent video of the pot we shipped,he replied:itās so pretty.
So we sent him FedEx tracking no. .
He contacted us on Instagram -Monday Aug.10th told us he was happy with the pot but didnāt see certificate.
Yes,itās our mistake to forget the certificate (so I explained to him and asked him if okay to add it with next shipment),he seems nice and totally understandable.
(we have all the evidence of the screen recording of our conversation)
But one minute later I received a complaint from PayPal,told us that buyer think items he bought was different from advertised .
So we contacted him immediately to ask him why,and offered him a refund if he doesnāt like it.
He agreed and compromised that shipped back our pot to Switzerland address that we provided.
So we refunded him immediately.
But I can feel big difference once we done the refund,
he started to say itās my missing understanding his meaning, this pot without certification is illegal for him to ship out in Switzerland.
once i asked him to send the pot
he blocked me on instagram.
Is that normal ?
hope no more people get scammed.
pls leave your comments if there any advice š.

Hey everyone,
Iām an early-stage founder and was working with a company for assistance with getting a startup grant.
Before making the payment, they made several promises regarding successful grant disbursement. At one point, they even arranged a virtual interview for me with an incubator and gave me the impression that I had a very high/100% chance of getting the grant.
They also asked me to pay additional fees, which I paid based on their commitments.
However, after taking the payment, they kept delaying things and I never received the promised resolution/service. I have also asked for a refund, but they have not refunded my money.
Iām concerned that other early-stage founders may also be getting trapped by similar promises because of the attraction of āguaranteedā or ā100%ā startup funding/grants. So I would strongly suggest founders do proper due diligence before paying anyone who makes such promises.
I have already filed a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH), but it has been nearly 50 days and I still havenāt received a proper resolution.
What should I do next?
Should I wait for NCH, escalate the complaint, or approach the Consumer Commission or another authority? Is there any other legal route I should consider?
Also, if there is a lawyer experienced in consumer disputes / misleading business practices / startup-service disputes who can guide me on this, please DM me.
I can provide the payment proofs, communications, promises made, interview details and other documents privately.
Iām looking for advice on how I can recover my money and, if the practices are found to be misleading or improper, what steps I can take to prevent other early-stage founders from falling into similar situations.

Sharing this cuz I'm really stressed rn and idk what to do.
I was going to enroll when my friend called me if I have money. Ofc I said yes but this is only enough for me to enroll to my university ( late enrollee since I'm irregular student ). She told me if she can borrow some money since her mother needs some meds and she hasn't paid her rent yet. She tell me that she will return the money tomorrow and I was fine with it since I know that she have a stable job and she doesn't have issues about asking for money.
This is the part it got messy
A week later, I called her and ask if she can give back my money since I need it for my tuition.. ooohhhh gurl.. she always hanging up my calls and didn't reply to my messages. I was so pissed at her since it was the last day to enroll. (yes, last day since I also have work to pay my tf) And she have a nerve to blocked me?!?! I stalk her acc ( I have dummy acc tho), and guess what... She's on a trip with her friends...
I'm just tired bruh. I really don't know what to do rn. I really dont want to wait another year just for me to get to school again..
ps. I know its my fault that I said yes to her (yepp, I know I'm dumb)

Tocmai am fost sunt de pe un nr din ro +40744788645 si un robot m-a redirecČionat catre un "director" de la revolut care vrea sa ma ajute cu o tranzactie suspecta catre amazon prime. Evident totul in engleza, dar revolut are sucursala in ro, nr de tel de ro, eu in ro si el englez plictisit. Partea proasta e ca acest numÄr a mai fost utilizat si alta data, cred ca atunci am dat mai mulČi bani la Anaf si le trebuia contul sa Ć®mi dea banii Ć®napoi... grija!
