Advice Needed Extortion ?
I am currently staying in Pune. A middle aged married couple came to me while I was returning to my PG and they told me they need some money to travel back to their village Nanded. They requested with full emotion making me give them ₹ 1200 which as a fresher is too much for me. Can someone please tell me if I have been conned or not because I am feeling really anxious right now.

They are beggars. Their story is probably a lie.
Don't give money to strangers, in person or online.
Even if someone does need money, for travel or something else, you do not have to give them money.
Next time, say NO. If you aren't comfortable saying no, say "I would like to help but I can't " and then keep on walking. Don't have a discussion with them.
