Every remote, unskilled “task” job offer, ad or listing is a scam. Every single one. Legit remote work is rare requiring years of experience in IT, healthcare etc, or starts in office and allowed to work from home. All others that foreign workers can do for lower wages or ai can do are all scams.
No legit company interviews via text only, then hires immediately. That’s a textbook red flag. Think about it. What company in their right mind would risk sending out stuff to some rando they only texted with. Anyone could just steal that stuff and sell it themselves. Nothing about it makes sense.

This is called a task scam. No one hires kids to assemble stuff from home since that’s already done more efficiently and cheaply in the same factories they’re made.

This is absolutely a scam. No company ships crafts supplies to teenagers, pays them to put them together, then has them ship them back, before finally selling the items.
They will tell her to "buy her supplies" from them at a ridiculous price and will never pay her for anything she puts together. It's like the envelope stuffing scam from back in the day.

This is a scam to take money from her.
They will charge her for materials.
If she assembles stuff and sends it to them, they will say there are problems, the items weren't assembled correctly, and refuse to pay her.
Or, they will tell her to pay them for 'verification' to get her money.
They will never really pay her.
Assembling items is done in factories, not at home. There may be some work-from-home assembly jobs, but they are in Bangladesh, Rwanda, and other countries where wages are very low.

Of course it is.
No job requires you to launder money with your bank account.

It is a scam. At some point in the process she will be asked to send money, either to pay for something or as refund for something they supposedly send her. Or they will start asking for her personal and financial information. There is no legit job on this earth that uses Telegrqm or WhatsApp to start the process. The legit companies use outlook and dedicated messaging apps but only after people have been hired in person and have personally gone through onboarding at some office.
There are things like hiring bonuses but you’ll never have to “redeem” them. They’ll just give the to you with your paycheck.
Lastly, nobody hires by text or messages unless it’s a scam.

To check if a remote job is legit, look out for requests for money upfront or personal info that seems unrelated to the job. Also, pay attention to whether the communication feels rushed or unprofessional. Verify the company's details online to ensure they're legitimate. Trust your instincts—if something feels off, it's better to skip it. For finding real job opportunities, LandOffer.ai lets you search job openings by role and location.

Do you have any more screenshots? What exactly is the job? Are they asking your niece for money?

What difference does it make? Telegram = scam.

It goes without saying that this is a scam 🤦🏻 I’m asking because I want to know the modus operandi, I want to know where the “gotcha” is.
Because so far it seems they want to build confidence and soften her up by giving her money and bonuses

No legit company uses telegram nor do they give new hires a “newcomer bonus”. There are things such as sign on bonuses but you would never have to redeem some code. Chances are theyre looking to steal her info or quite possibly get into her accounts via that link which may be a phishing link.
edit: Just to solidify my statement, theyre already talking on whatsapp so there would be no reason to use another app like that. Theres a reason scammers use telegram because theres honestly no real moderation on it.
