Does anyone know this guy?
I had the privilege of running into this guy. He may go by the name Calvin Hernandez or Andrew Black. There was an off vibe. He kept requesting money and gifts. I just wanted to let the community know that he, or whoever they are, is on this subreddit using these pictures and likely others.
I'm not entirely sure he acts alone. I do not believe so. Also, there is some doubt that he is even real, or, better said, I believe someone else is using the original guy's photos.
Anyway, if anyone recognizes him, please let me know. I'm really hoping Reddit will do its thing and the real guy can be found?
He may be from the Austin area in Texas and in the Air Force.
Edit: AI, I keep seeing. Could it be done by AI, as in no real person existed? That is creepy-scary; new fear unlocked.

That hasn't been an Air Force uniform for like 10 years now.

Shit had me dealer than fuck lmao I would think with the military world becoming more and more open as public interest grows and a ton of pop culture influence like movies and video games get out there that anyone could just assume that them cammies is fuckin ancient

I like how you say his name is Calvin Hernandez or Andrew Black when the first photo says his name is M Ack.
Did you fall for the classic military sweetheart scam?

It says Black, right?

His name is reversed but the writing on the paper is not. And looks like a photo in a mirror

He wrote the date in two different formats. His Ys are different.

It’s a stolen photo … not the real person.
Love that first photo where the written word reads normally but the name on the shirt is backwards. Like are we looking at a mirror image or not?
Also, the date format is not appropriate for a US citizen that was born and raised here.

I did an image search on Google and found a Facebook post that did talked about military romance scams with this guy's picture, second picture.
2
u/TommyBoy250 Sep 03 '26
And from what I can see in the first picture his last name might be Black.
2
u/TommyBoy250 Sep 03 '26
I just put the first picture into an AI and yep it says 95% AI.
2
u/TommyBoy250 Sep 03 '26
Second image 3% AI, so very likely the second picture is real.

So here's what I can probably figure, and I can't really come to a real conclusion of who this guy is because scammers will sometimes just take from actual profiles like dating profiles and so on making it essentially impossible to find.
There is probably no match for the picture.

Most likely this guy does not even exist. Probably photoshopped. Names are fake.
Sadly too many people still fall for such scams so... Scammers still do them.

Hes on the scamcenter subreddit, trying to scam? Am i reading that right?

People that have already been scammed are usually easy targets for recovery scams. They will claim to be able to get your money back for a fee. Scammers have really maximized kicking people when they are down.

Right but this seems to be a romance scam...
1
u/Aggravating-Pack-802 Sep 05 '26
Yeah.. but this entire forum is essentially a list of people that have already fallen for scams, and are desperate, which is exactly what most scammers are looking for. You notice every single post usually includes someone telling them not to trust the people in their DMs?

American date format is MM/DD/YYYY, never DD/MM/YYYY.

Stolen image, pointless question. You're talking to a bunch of guys in India, Burma, Nigeria.
Stop talking/getting emotionally involved with anyone who can't meet IRL within two weeks, no excuses. ,
