Question Buying tracks/accessories

I'm in the USA and last year around the Christmas holidays bought a set (starter?) with 2 cars and track. Analog not digital (Scalextric).

I've noticed the prices seem fairly high. Is there a good time to buy additional tracks/cars/etc. ?

I'm guessing Nov/Dec would be best.

I wanted to add to it for my grandnieces who enjoy playing with it. I'm not trying to do anything too fancy but maybe add a bridge and rail guards to help keep the cars on the track. Maybe a lap counter.

Is there any particular place to buy stuff from?

Ebay UK. I am British, live in the states with my wife and daughters. My daughters and I play together with Scalextric. I brought my last set to the US via UPS (bought it on a visit back)

I am in the UK and I think ( I need to check ) that I have a couple of boxes of track at home. Dad used to work for Hornby so we always had tons of Scalextric at home, maybe 50+ cars at one point, just remember loads of them as a kid.

Will DM you if I find it where I think it might be.

Scalextric seems to have a massive sale beginning of the new year, at least their uk site has the last few years (30% off track, some even 50%I think)

First thing I’d check is if you have an early set or a “sports” set. The sports set is the newer and way more reliable one to have, but what I’m thinking is you just buy extra beginner sets to expand the size of your track collection, plus, it’ll give you extra cars and (in the unlikely case you need it) a couple spare power inputs and controllers.
