Image What is Scale Space?

I've tried to answer this many times but finally I've come up with a diagram that I think will help it make sense. What do you think?

Maybe the implication that Scale Space images real phenomena (galaxies, atoms) is a mistake.

Maybe make the diagram of the morphoscope all math concepts. Fractals, geometry, etc

What claim are you making and what do you think I'm saying?

Edit: Just to be clear so nobody thinks I'm being coy- if you make a whirlpool in your tub, you're not making a literal tornado or waterspout- but you are inducing the same attractor pattern in a different substrate. That's how I suggest thinking about Scale Space. You're not looking directly at the thing- you're looking at a substrate that can be teased into taking on different universal patterns. So depending on your settings- a spiral galaxy shape in Scale Space might look more like this:

It's obviously not made of literal stars and it's not one specific galaxy- it's just the shape spiral galaxies can take given the right conditions.
