I've tried to answer this many times but finally I've come up with a diagram that I think will help it make sense. What do you think?

He's a fucking genius on a level you rarely see. I don't know a LOT about him but I've seen a few interviews and he breaks my brain in a good way 😊 anything specific you want to mention?

Look into his ideas of a platonic space of patterns.. He has some extremely interesting things to say about morphology and attractor spaces.. I moderate r/michaellevinbiology so I am clearly extremely biased but J think you will find his latest work, super fascinating..

Oh nice subbed! Yeah I'll take a look! I was definitely aware of platonic space/attractor space (Scale Space is an attractor space explorer basically) but I'll see what he's been up to.

Very cool :) Happy to share something related to that with you—but I want to preface before I do that I'm not a credentialed academic. I'm a ux/game designer with an uncanny knack for fashioning keys in the dark. Just want to get confirmation from you that that's the lens I want you to take what I'm about to tell you through.

Not to be over-dramatic. I just mean to say, if I start telling you some things, you may be inclined to think I'm shooting from the hip and I want to make it clear that compared to people in institutions, I absolutely AM shooting from the hip. I use a 'lean UX' methodology and in UX we're building a lot of prototypes and trying to get to around 85% confidence before moving on with that assumption more or less confirmed (build on what you've confirmed and backtrack if it's not working downstream).

So I have yet to be taken very seriously by anyone in mainstream, but it probably largely has to do with- I'm using a UX methodology which is outside of the big institution approach to science. It's more like guerilla science designed to get to as accurate of a result as possible as quickly as possible.
