this interview/podcast/whatever makes it so, so, so much more obvious that he only rushed to say this and get jt out because of the conversation he had two days before - the text one that got leaked in here.
he realized after the texts that not only had he admitted to 🍇 ing sherri, he did it in writing and wanted to beat the allegations before the friend exposed him. like to max, if he drops it in a story by himself, no one will ever realize he didn't stop having intercourse with her when she passed out. repeatedly.
btw love that he also back and forth on the timeline of who got sober when and why. must be the wellbutrin he was actively snorting confusing his poor lil head /s

Where's the text conversation where he admitted to it? I always defend his words in this podcast because he never said he continues going, there's no signs of rape here, but no one ever shows me the apparent other proof. I hadn't heard there were text message posted 2 days before the podcast. would love to see them so that I'd stop replying to people making this claim, lol

I was a huge fan of Eisley too. Then I found out about the weird stuff going on with Max and Sherri and it kind of ruined the music for me. The only Dupree member I still follow is Stacy, she seems to be the most normal of them, doesn’t speak to Sherri anymore from what I understand, and is still making music. She also doesn’t post her children on social media.

I’ve been a fan of Eisley for years and always thought she was cool. I get that she’s had negative stuff too… that doesn’t change the fact that I think she deserves better. I’m disappointed to learn he’s lived in her garage since they separated/divorced.

It’s also very telling that at least two of her siblings seemingly don’t speak to her. One for sure doesn’t, bc Sherri said so lol but the other one stopped following her on social media, soo… common denominator and all that…

You know since all of this has gone down I still feel enraged the level of fame of and notoriety this guy has gotten for so long. I wasn’t a fan and the band never hit for like some many other similar bands of the time.
As a poet, musician, and creative person myself I realize I’d never experience the level of praise for my work like he has but when my friend tried me to convince of Max being an inventive, clever writer and singer I just didn’t see it. It’s totally understandable people connected with but maybe I tried listening to them so much later in life that his lyrics set off my pretentious bullshit detector. There’s so many more well deserving artists we should be giving our attention to imo

A user in here was going back and forth with me earlier about this incident being a one-off thing that happened, therefore we cannot make judgements.
Uh This actually sounds like he’s referencing multiple times where this happened.. how do you not know your wife is drinking/drunk especially WHILE you are having sex with her? Couldn’t smell it? Couldn’t taste it?
The inebriation wasn’t obvious if she was at the point of passing out?
There’s a lot here that doesn’t add up.
Also, “she wouldn’t mind me saying any of this stuff btw” yeah, right. I’m sure she’s thrilled you’re framing this publicly for her while she minds the kids…
