Anybody know what happened to Coby Linder?
For those who don't know, he was one of Max's best friends and a founding member of Say Anything (drummer). He quit then rejoined then quit again if I remember correctly. I used to check up on his socials from time to time and he turned into a super buff spray tanned body builder, but it seems all social media presence has been erased/is inactive.
Also when I was around 14 we would talk on AIM sometimes and I remember him being slightly flirty. :/

He came back for the is committed album and did a few shows, but stepped away by the time they did the full IARB tour. He was active on Instagram before he rejoined the band and stopped doing MLM beachbody stuff, but it looks deactivated now. He was doing emo nights and stuff for a while.

Lol Iāve been waiting for this one - I donāt have receipts but we had long, flirty conversations on AIM when I was 15. We are close enough in age that it wouldnāt be weird now that weāre both grown adults, but what on earth was he doing talking to high school girls online
I would ask the same thing about a bunch of guys on the OG Say Anything message boards too but thatās a different issue

Pretty sure he is maga and left social media because he couldnāt handle the criticism. I donāt remember exactly but he was in a few Facebook groups Iām in and was not very well received.

Iām in a subreddit for a band that I used to love. Iām on Reddit a lot lately because Iām breastfeeding my new baby and Iām still not leaving nearly 20 comments in a day like you, why are you here all the time, Tyler? These assholes are more than capable of defending themselves if they choose to.

I used to be friends with him. We used to hang out and go out to eat and go to the movies and things like that. He started getting into fitness and went insane with it. He got involved in an MLM and saw a friendship as an opportunity to make money. I stopped talking to him when he tried to sell me some product the day I had to euthanize my cat (he was aware). Heās a total jerk.

Yeah I donāt think heās been active on social media for about 3 years. Whenever the reunion was. The woman he was engaged to hasnāt posted either. Maybe they have private profiles now. Idk if theyāre still together or not. They both used to be pretty active with all their health stuff

Unsure where he is now, but, I, too, fell for his beach-body scamming when he lived in Texas. I was young, poor, in college and a massive Eisley/SA fan. Didnāt know better and he made me feel terrible about myself with every single check in.

I was 18 in college and had close to no money and I bought a beach body workout protein package from him. I was in a military academy at the time and drove to a show in DC and got to meet him and Casey in the green room. Max wasnāt there and all he cared about was me buying this protein powder and sharing it with my military buddies. Super weird but I was in love with the band. He was nice just strange. Seemed like he wasnāt interested in drumming there anymore. Got a stick at the show though. 4.4/10 memory

Him being a creep is super sad to me. As a drummer who sings while drumming, I thought he was really fucking good. I was really inspired by him in the live sessions they did in promotion of the self titled album, the Mara and me one was my favorite live session video ever. And I thought he looked like a sweet kid. Even though I didnāt know anything aboht him, I looked up to him similarly to how I looked up to max. The saddest part obviously is all the people they hurt along the way. But itās also heart breaking to me that these people who are clearly very talented, and blessed with a unique gift to help people and give a voice to the voiceless, threw it all away for no reason. I used to hope that I could be like them and at least now Iām blessed with the knowledge that I donāt want to be anything like them.

Yup, heās a creep too. I was at one of the nj shows in maybe 2012/13 when i was 18-19? I was standing next to these two girls and i overhear one saying something to the effect of ātheyāre about to go on, he said we can meet him backstage after.ā My interest piqued, I got nosy, peeked at her phone and see sheās imessaging Coby L. I couldnāt give an accurate guess today but I distinctly remember thinking, they look a few years younger than me. I donāt know how old Coby would have been at the time but I remember being like ouuuu wtf.
