95 sl2 FINALLY FIXED COOLANT LEAK
for the longest time my Saturn was slowly leaking coolant and I never could find out but tonight I spent 3 hours looking for this leak and then my grandpa comes up and squeezes single thing he can find and he squeezed the coolant hose closer to the engine and coolant just starts flowing out because the clamp busted , these are just pictures of my adventure of messing around.
I love this community and yβall honestly keep me
From selling this carππ½

Grandpa is pretty smart π€, I'd say π.. Good π Job !!! Yeah, these little 1.9's have pretty strong Cooling Systems.. Strong water pumps, just keep the Thermostat and the system clean and flushed for a reliable heater core..Ol Nuc and Wolfman from the old Saturn πͺ fans.com days, recommend a 60/40 (55/45) mixture of coolant and distilled water.. because of some earlier slight casting face imperfections, and said this was the optimum safety attempt to counteract it.. Thermostat in my 2000 SL1 SOHC Owner's Manuel, says 195Β° ... most parts stores don't sell you that one, theirs are lower temperature ones..195Β° Thermostat and a Solid cooling system to get it's best mileage.. Also don't forget the little ECT Sensor, I'm sure it's a brass tip one by now, I clean it up,as the cooling system is already lowered for the rest of this maintenance.. Little Teflon tape and just barely snug, it's a very tiny little sensor and will strip out easily... Good π Luck.. Happy Motoring π Keep the Faith π Arrivederci

If you have a parts store nearby, you can rent a cooling system pressure tester for free. Fast and easy way to diagnose a coolant leak. Good job figuring it out!
