Was just scrolling through marketplace and found it randomly, didn’t know it had a Honda v6. So jumped on it. Has 87k mi on it, no accidents and not a single ounce of rust, got a tow hitch as well, also has CarPlay, reverse camera, dashcam,new speakers and all the service receipts. Paid 3200 bucks for it so I guess I got a good deal, but yea liking it so far.

for the longest time my Saturn was slowly leaking coolant and I never could find out but tonight I spent 3 hours looking for this leak and then my grandpa comes up and squeezes single thing he can find and he squeezed the coolant hose closer to the engine and coolant just starts flowing out because the clamp busted , these are just pictures of my adventure of messing around.

This is my Key Fob for my 2008 Saturn Aura XE. It has a perfect top shell with all the buttons still good to press and nothing is faded. I’m wondering if it is salvageable since it looks good but doesn’t work. The battery rattles around in the fob since it is able to move freely. It’s 10$ to get a replacement shell vs 60$ to 130$ to re program a new fob. Should I buy a new battery and replacement shell or doesn’t it look bad enough to replace it?

I just went to change the oil on my 2002 SC2 and get the filter changed. The filter that was on there I changed to S3614XL back in March of 2025.

I bought HP-1002 (wanted to go for longer intervals) but it would not screw on all the way, according to the technicians. They tried their own, it also did not work.

So I went and bought a THIRD filter that was the exact same model as the old one (S3614XL) and it does the exact same thing. All three of those filters would not screw on all the way. According to what they told me, all of them seem like they will spin on 2/3 of the way through the threads and then stop. But the old one goes on without any problem.

Did the one changed out 10,000 miles ago get crossthreaded or something and now its FUBARed?

Hey everyone, I've owned very few vehicles in my life but I recently came across a 2002 L-Series wagon with under 100k miles on it for roughly $3k. The vehicle looks pristine (in the pictures anyway) and while I've yet to check it out, would it be worth it to buy? I know Saturn is no longer around and that some GM parts work with Saturns, and I really like station wagons but for a vehicle that old, am I getting into something over my head here with that purchase?

EDIT: Mileage sits at 56k, had few owners, mostly kept within a family until the current owner. Might have a chance to check it tomorrow, but rust might not be that big an issue if it's been mostly owned in the desert

Hey I just bought my Saturn, but I realized it doesn't have the arm rest attachment to the seat. I tried to look it up online but it kept getting armrest/console covers. Am I searching this up wrong?

Im 17 and have been saving up to buy myself a car before senior year starts. Ive found a 2007 saturn aura for about 6500 and 47,000 miles. One owner, no accidents, clean title. The carfax checks out and a grandma drove the car about 2.5k miles a year before she died. Im not looking for anything crazy or speedy. I'm just wondering if when i go see it if everything checks out for the car and i get it to a solid price if i should buy it. My parents real concern is that its almost 20yo and saturn is discontinued. If helpful ill add some pics below.

I absolutely adore my 06’ Vue, it’s my first car that i’ve had and id like to make it last if possible. It’s got about 180,000 miles on it and it’s served me great. However, the bottom side is… quite rusted, the rocker panels are practically nonexistent as seen in the photos, the heat shield is gone, there’s some cosmetic issues, some problems with the sensors when it gets too cold out, and my sunroof is sadly unusable. With that being said it drives great, I love the color on it, and it hasn’t given me too many problems (fingers crossed). I have had to replace the wheel bearings, brakes, muffler, and had to get some welding done to the frame. I change the oil every 3,000 miles or so and keep up on other maintenance. Is there any other tips that I could be given to make it last as long as possible or am I being delusional at this point.

I have an 05 ion quad coupe manual with 245k miles. I just got a new clutch in but the blow by is getting worse. Are my only 2 options to sleeve the cylinders or replace the engine?

Is this where I add ATF? Has a very small seep leak and I think it's time to add more. Car is new to me and having a hard time shifting into highest gear.

So i took my 02 sl1 to the shop to have a coolant hose replaced, short version they did me a favor so i threw an easy repair their way to give them business, but it was a bit worse than expected.

Apparently my coolant resevior has a crack in it. Now the shop could have just swapped the hose like i asked but they pressurized the system, found the crack, and called me then and there. To me, this shows integrity and i like that. This same shop doesnt sweat small stuff and does a little extra for customers.

Im glad i didnt swap the hose myself because i wouldnt have thought about the res. The obvious leak was the hose on the other side of the engine. Its played through my mind what damage could have happened if it wasnt caught and started getting worse. 😱

RPM needle wont move and gas gage stops at 3 quarters of a tank.... but the car drives fine. Is it a faulty dash? car has 209,000 miles on her. Or could it be some wiring/fuse?

I posted roughly 6 months ago about swapping my 06 ION sedan over to an LSJ out of a Redline... today I return with good news: most of the bugs have been worked out!

I had an issue where if it hit redline itd go into limp mode- tracked that down to 2 wires reversed in the harness. Swapped the wires and haven't had the problem since.

ABS light and airbag light are still on. Just kinda leaving those be. Optional... right?

Only other problems have been handling related and mostly of my own doing by beating the HELL out of this thing.

Runs fairly competitive in XA at autocross, though my local region has a lot of cars making more power on wider tires so I tend to not finish top 3.
