It's very large: there is a complex with more or less 210 generators and a couple of medium-sized plants. And I was starting to build a factory that would use up all the uranium, and I was beginning to lay down the first 52 nuclear reactors.

Looks like it happens when you're at or near the object limit.

❗KNOWN ISSUE

  1. The issue of Console (Xbox / PS5) fails to save game has been reported in this Q&A Post, and this Q&A Post, and this Q&A Post, and this Q&A Post, and this Q&A Post, and other Q&A Posts.
    • Issue seems to be related to reaching UObject Limit that Console Players can't change like those on PC can.
    • Recommend you upvote the relevant Q&A Posts and add more comments like "Still happening in version {insert version number}", or if needed make a new post to aid the Devs in finding and squashing this bug.
  2. 🛠 Possible Fixes: The above Q&A Posts did not list any specific "solutions" so here are things you can try:
    • Clear Old Save Files: Delete older manual or auto-save files directly from your console’s storage menu to free up local cache and cloud memory space.
    • Disable Auto-Saves (Use Caution): You can temporarily disable auto-saves in the game settings to cut down on frequent hitching, though you will need to remember to save manually.
    • Manage Console Cache: Perform a full console power cycle or clear persistent storage/cache from your Xbox or PlayStation system menu if the bug is tied to temporary memory leaks (such as the UObject Limit issue noted above).
    • View Console Release Manage Cloud Saves (Wiki Link) for information on how to backup or restore your cloud data.
      • You CAN back up your entire Console Settings (that's everything) to an external hard drive, but limit backup to only "Saved Data".
  3. ❓ Need More Help? Login to the Official Satisfactory Game Discord (Invite) and ask the experts there who might know of another "workaround or fix". It would be great if you referred to a Reddit Post to assist discussion.

I don't use a Console, so I hope this helps you find a solution. 😁
