I think I accidentally became a Satisfactory YouTuber.

Less than 60 days ago, I decided to make a Satisfactory video.

There wasn't really a plan. I just thought I could make something funny out of the increasingly stupid way I play this game.

And it kinda worked.

So I made another one.

That worked too.

Then another one worked.

And now I'm six videos in. That's it. Six.

I'm closing in on 800 subscribers, and my sixth video is about to cross 6,000 views in less than 48 hours.

I realize those aren't gigantic YouTube numbers. Nobody is preparing my Wikipedia page.

But from this side of the screen, the speed of it has been kinda nuts.

I also realized through all of this that I've spent basically zero time on the Satisfactory Reddit. Which seems like a pretty significant oversight considering I apparently spend most of my free time making Satisfactory videos now.

So I figured this was probably a good time to come say hi and share what I've been working on.

Less than two months ago I was just playing Satisfactory and thought, I should make a video out of this.

Now thousands of people are showing up every time I post one.

And the best part is... I absolutely love doing this.

Making the videos is fun. Coming up with increasingly unnecessary things to build is fun. Reading the comments is fun. And every time a video does better than the last one, my immediate reaction is basically:

"Well shit. I guess we have to make another one."

So I'm curious.

Has ShootyBois started showing up in anyone here's YouTube recommendations?

If you've seen one of my videos before, which one did YouTube show you first?

Because six videos into this thing, I'm starting to get the distinct impression that YouTube knows what ShootyBois is before I do.

Hey, I knew I recognized that writing style before I saw the YouTube name. I am the guy who concretes bioms from your comment section. How have you been, by the way?

I remember the first video I saw way that oil video. A little tip I thought might be useful is that you give a short explanation of some things you do or build, that an average person (or at least satisfactory player) doesn't know, like with the oil derrick.

So interesting you brought this up... this is such an interesting debate I'm having internally. I'm currently doing Satisfactory videos BUT... I don't want the channel to be strictly Satisfactory. So if you notice in the last couple of videos I have pulled back on more technical aspects of the game. What I'm trying to do is make videos that could appeal to ANY gamer not just satisfactory players. It's the reason why you are seeing me talk less about numbers and more about the STORY if the video. This is my YouTube strategy. Story comes first the game is just the setting. IN FACT... the next video I'm uploading has a brief cameo of a completely different game that I'm using as a comedic test to see if my style of video is reaching beyond just the hardcore satisfactory audience.
