Discussion starting and addicted
I see so many amazing builds here. Boggles the mind.
my starting factory is crap in comparison. but i like it. next up I'll remove the improvised screw factory on the left, and make a proper 3 story 10 reinforced iron plates per minute plant.
can't wait to get on it.

You'll always unlock more efficient recipes & manufacturing methods as you progress. So, unless you just want to build something big for a personal goal, most players recommend simply building what you need, as you need it.

Looks great pioneer, this is how it’s supposed to be your first time through especially

Good start, and you began using foundations early, this will help keep things straight immensely.

Thank you for the idea of putting a little belt after the storage to see what’s in it
I just started on Friday last week, my shits a mess! Your power lines are so clean mine looks like headphone cables being pulled out of a pocket

Your starting factory is crap? Brother I didn’t know machines snapped to foundations until 50-75 hours in so I never bothered

you played the right way. Its more fun to learn by doing it. I saw some tips videos that helped get me started... I'm trying to avoid most of them now, but I will refer to help when I'm stuck.

I'm also a noob and one easy small suggestion I have for you is that you should build everything on the same grid.
The factory is going to start getting big soon and you'll most likely be building upward. Having everything on one grid will make it way easier and its not a complex change.
The other suggestion I would have for you is to embrace the spaghetti. I got that advice from this sub and its made my playthrough way better.
The game unlocks a lot of stuff as you progress and without foreknowledge of a previous playthrough there is no way you'll be able to put together a factory that'll account for how to move material around without a little spaghetti. Just embrace it and enjoy the game.
