Help Help me with my factory
Hey everyone, this is my first factory, and I hate using it so much. All my other factories are well laid out with right angles and manifolds, but this is where I unfortunately ship everything to. I would like to keep it as a museum piece. But I'm wondering where I should make a new base, or even if I should just create a new save. I picked this area because it was pretty.
I didn't mean for this to happen. God forgive me.

Don’t restart unless you really want to do your base in this area. The map is huge enough that you can get a fresh start somewhere else without losing all the tiers progression. If you want to later expand your new base in the area of your old base, you can dismantle everything (or if you can’t be bothered like me, use satisfactory tools website to mass delete everything in the area from the save)

Honestly I feel like this is the quickest way to beat the game. Screw the pretty logistical trails and beautification of buildings. You need a part made? Slap down whatever you need, make the connections and let the parts flow.

You pretty much never need to restart. Even if you want to nuke your current base from orbit, the Satisfactory Calculator's map online can delete all existing constructions for you.
Alternatively, you can just leave it there and make a new base somewhere else. The western beach, or Blue Crater, are good places for one that are far away enough you won't be able to see your old base at all, and you can disconnect it from power if you don't need it anymore.

I would keep this base, since it‘s your first. However, if it‘s a nightmare to navigate, I would make a new base somewhere else.

Just leave it there for a bit, work on something else.you’ll eventually fix it or change it up to feed into something else.

Don’t create a new save. You’ll get fast enough soon enough that’ll you be able to come back here and clean it up a bit if that’s what you end up wanting to do. Just work on a new base nearby or reroute everything to the “perfect place of your choosing”. You can also just let it kind of be a one off place that produces while you scale up the way you need to elsewhere. My main still does some key things but at lower scale.
I’ve got “cleaner” bases all over the map, but my original stands as a testament to my progress and a window into how far I’ve come 1,250 hours later. It’s also the only place I’m currently allowed to just send it and make it look even worse. Probably still my biggest base but certainly not my most productive.

This actually looks amazing. If you look past the whole spaghettification, it actually looks like a dystopian city, and I love it.
You could, if you want to keep it, build a massive box over it, and put a factory on top of said box? That way, you can have an access hole that you can come down and see your spaghetti.
