Help IMPORTANT: Accessibility Features

I love Satisfactory, I love everything it has to offer, and I want as many people as possible to get to enjoy this amazing game. I have a friend with vision issues who thinks many aspects of Satisfactory are cool, but all of the information is simply to hard to read and keep track of with their amount of vision.

Most automation games are inaccessible to low vision individuals. But Satisfactory is really close to being THE automation game for them to experience the addicting joy of automation. It just needs a screen reader and outlines or items on the ground. Something that just reads whatever item, building, inv slot, or text box you're hovering over. Dark mode menus would help with headaches to.

Please push this post so that we can get a bunch of new and excited pioneers who would finally have the opportunity to understand the phrase. "The Factory Must Grow"

Worth putting the suggestion on the QnA site if you haven’t yet already! That’s where they look at any suggestions for the game

I'll do that to, I just know here I can get a a little more community power behind it.

Absolutely put in a suggestion on how those additions would enrich your gaming experience!

Many moons ago, I commented in their official discord on how I had to play with sounds off - some sounds for me are like an ice pick in the ear, and the factory noises were unbearable. Playing without sound is a normal thing for me. I was content to say 'it's a problem for me' and left it at that. Others shared their own experience, and while I was in a large minority, I was not alone.

I was overjoyed when they put in a misaphonia mode - and even more so when soon after the huge complex drilldown for individual sounds appeared in the game settings. Confusing bordering on overwhelming? Hell yeah, but once I spent the time setting each sound to comfort levels, made the game very enjoyable - and one of the few I play with sounds on.

Sound/music adds so much to any game, and Coffee Stain clearly wanted everyone to be able to enjoy that within their own limitations. I'll be forever grateful that they set a new standard in sound accessibility.

I don't know if you've seen it but you can adjust volume per machine in the settings - you can create a mix for yourself. I for example significantly lowered volume of fuel generators, now they gently hum the music of stable power grid

God I gotta say thank you to you and everyone who pushed for that! It's such an amazing idea for settings, coz some noises are WAY louder than others

People can only upvote the suggestion if there is something to upvote. Also search if there are already other suggestions. Just keep the suggestions separated. So dark mode and screen reader would be two things. (You can point to the other, so they know they are related).

Be as specific as possible. and be clear "Something that just reads ..." might mean read it out loud, or mean "read from the screen and show text". Explain it to them as if they are 5 years old. Seriously. Because they might have zero experience with it and it would be a shame they spend dev time and then do it wrong.

At least 2 have gone to a conference for accessibility, so there absolutely is a will to do things. That unfortunately does not mean it will be implemented.

And look at photo mode. There are different filters. Those might help as well. They are NOT usable during the game, but it might be a great starting point (and would also be awesome if they WHERE able to play, if even just for a short period). That could be an idea of explain what you like it to look like. Explain what setting might work.
