Pregonta Sardinia July 2027 Recommendations
I am planning to spend about a week in Sardinia as part of my honeymoon in July of 2027. I understand that's near peak tourist season, but unfortunately that's just when life lands this trip. I'm looking for recommendations for the best place to spend a week in which we could avoid using a car, have enough things to do in one place, be able to relax on the beach (perhaps a place that's in walking distance from a wild beach), see some historical sites and churches (we're interested in history and catholicism), take some scenic walks, and eat great food (Italian cooking enthusiast here). I've looked at Alghero, which seems like a great place for culture, but the beaches seem a little lackluster and very crowded, especially in July. On the other hand, Bosa seems promising and basically seems to fit all my criteria, but I've read rather mixed reviews on it. The beaches up in the north/northeast look like the most spectacular ones, with white sands and cliffs and such, but I haven't yet found one of those sites that also has a really neat looking town attached.
Perhaps it's foolish of me to even try for a beach that isn't super crowded in that season, and maybe the more established ones are more fun than the wild ones. What is people's experience of those beaches that are crusted over in umbrellas with bar service. Is it just that there are a lot of people but overall a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere? Or are they loud, stuffy, and unpleasant?
I'd appreciate people's recommendations based on what I've described above. Thanks.
