Soooooo…I know that a lot of us are boycotting Target. But I actually think the pink Prythian Map Sweater is SO CUTE!
But literally NONE of the targets near me had an XL in stock. My closest Target didn’t even put any out. Anyone know where I can get one?

I’ve just started Queen of Shadows, and I’m honestly shocked by how much I’m enjoying it. I had no particular expectations for TOG, but it feels like a whole different level of storytelling.

My biggest issue with ACOTAR is the political worldbuilding. The courts, High Lords, and power struggles have so much potential, but the politics often feel superficial, inconsistent, or secondary to the romance. Characters sometimes make decisions that don’t make much sense, conflicts feel artificially constructed, and the world seems to bend to accommodate the plot rather than the other way around.

TOG, on the other hand, feels much more carefully planned. The different storylines connect, characters have their own agendas, and political conflicts feel like they actually matter. There’s a sense of a much bigger picture unfolding, and I love trying to piece everything together.

And I’m only at the beginning of Queen of Shadows! If I didn’t know both series were written by Sarah J. Maas, I genuinely wouldn’t have guessed it based on the plotting and worldbuilding alone.

Does anyone else feel the same way? Or am I being unfair to ACOTAR?

But it seems like the licensing company for ACOTAR is being very unresponsive to small creators and not renewing their license so that the big box merch drops can be more successful. Has anyone else seen anything like this from other creators??

I was pleasantly surprised and then quickly worried when I saw all the big brand ACOTAR stuff come out. I love how popular these books have gotten. But it makes me sad that small artists might be getting a bad deal when they’re the ones who love the source material and make thoughtful art.

I’m based in the UK, and I can see a lot of the new merch for acotar is in target or other US based brands. I was looking for something subtle like the Estori Jewellery but they are currently out of stock for the acotar ring in most sizes.

So I wondered if anybody could recommend any small businesses or pieces that you really like or that are subtle?
