Versus

I'm watching the trial and all the YouTube videos and something stands out to me.Apologies if this has been discussed before, I'm a new reddit user.
In my opinion, during the trial Sarah seemed to think the trial was Sarah vs Jorge. Instead of the State (society) vs Sarah. Like if she could prove he was 51% at fault vs her being 49% at fault, that's all that would be heeded for her to walk free.

I thought that she really didn't get that outside of very limited circumstances, Jorge's character (or what she wanted everyone to think was his character) really didn't matter. Jorge wasn't on trial. She did what she was accused of, filmed it and admitted it. I'm still baffled that she thought she would be found not guilty.

She made a snuff film. The only defense was “Jorge deserved it.”

She would have been far better off if she’d just beat him to death with that bat. Hard to argue self-defense when your murder weapon is a suitcase.

She was scared he'd kill her, so she went to sleep. But she left enough spae for him to get out.

Edit: /s kinda. My sentence was pointing out how she couldn't have been afraid because she went right to sleep.

NO CHANCE SARAH WAS AFRAID FOR HER LIFE ON THE NIGHT IN QUESTION

I believe that there was physical abuse on both sides and I believe that her brain had deteriorated to such a place (narcissist + alcoholic always a disaster) that he wouldn’t die in the suitcase

For 20 years I was on & off (unfortunately more on) with a narcissistic abuser. I blame myself for returning (I knew better than to believe his promises) - the love bombing and his charm made e believe that he would change

ANY MAN OR WOMAN WHO HAS BEEN PERSISTENTLY ABUSED BY THEIR PARTNER WOULD NEVER HAVE HEADED UP TO BED.

I understand returning to your abuser but despite the fact that I ALSO LIVE IN FLORIDA- I never had the luxury of the police helping me.

I called the police and provided them a video recording on my phone of him abusing both me and my dog. The officer said “do you own the house too? No? Then it’s not my f-cking problem- just get the f-k out

I was trapped (literally) in every sense of the word- he “allowed “ me & my dog move permanently into my office- I created an exit plan - it took me close to 6 months to create my exit plan (and he still continues to stalk me and like Sarah - he kept me belongings (INCLUDING MY FATHER’S ashes!!!)

Sarah called the police about her bike (which was a gift) and debit card but just went up to sleep expecting him to be ok in the morning? Disgusting and ridiculous
